*The Demon's Care*

                                             "Confessions..."


*Laxus' P.O.V.*


                        " Um Mira , don't you think its too bright to let the lights turned on ?? " I said to her as I try not to even give her a single glance ....


                 And again , we are here... sleeping on the same bed and having another "awkward moment"!..

                         But this time , I keep my distance from her , we are both on the 2 corners of my bed and I'm not yet looking or even giving a glance on her ...  I just don't want to start the " akwardness " here .. 


.                       " You think so too ?? " Mirajane returned with a question ..

.                       " Yup , Can you turn it off for me ? "  I requested..

                       " Okey !  ^_^ "  she said as I heard her feet stomp on the ground ..


                        She turned off the switch and the lights were off...

                      My eyes were closed as I try to put myself on sleep..

 I heard her footsteps returning on the bed and the she pulled her blanket...

Now the whole room was dark and quiet ... The whole place was only illuminated when the moon is not blocked by the clouds...


                " Hey  Laxus! Don't you think its so dark here? " she asked.

.              " No , I think the moonlight is enough.. " I answered as I yawned .

          And there was a moment of silence... But I still couldn't sleep !!

             And so a great, awkward silence filled the whole room. Laxus is still trying to make himself drift to sleep as Mirajane is staring at him or at his back particularly.

             " Laxus... "  Mira almost whispered as she stop staring on him.. Now her back was perfectly laid flat on the bed .. As she focused her eyes on the ceiling as the moonlight shines through..

                    " Yes ?? " he answered with his normal tone .. Still not looking at her or perhaps he couldn't see Mira clearly because of the darkness inside the room . He is also now staring at the ceiling as he pulled his blanket ..


                    " This is already the last night I would sleep here on your house right?? " Mira said as she gave of a smile .. 

                      " Yeah , I guess so .. "  Laxus said as he tries to close his eyes ...


                       " Hayyy *sigh* , Can I ask you a few questions and promise me that your answers would be the most sincere ones that you ever said and think of this as the small payment for nursing you "  Mira said as she slowly come closer to Laxus who just sweatdropped on what he heard from the cute barmaid..

                      " Okay, if thats what you want then I shall accept your request.. " He replied as he perspire heavily  " What is the thing she wants to know ?? "  He asked himself..


.                        " What can you say about my nursing slash household working abilities? Is it good enough for you ?? " Mirajane thought that this question is just a shallow one and wouldn't be taken as a serious matter.. Laxus sighed first as he answer the first question..


                              " Um , okey .. Its good, pretty good! To tell the truth, this is the first time that someone had taken care of me when I'm sick cause usually Gramps would just give me medicines and bring me some food with a doctor in some times ... "  Laxus smirked as he remembered the way Mirajane had nursed , fed and taken care on him this last 7 days .. Mira looked on him as she said to herself " He is still alone even he has sick ??? "  


                       " Mira I also want to take this opportunity to give thanks to you for doing this.. I know I'm such a brat on the attitudes I let you see when I was sick but still, you are smiling and cheerful on me .. Thanks for the patience and concern , I greatly appreciated it! ^_^ " Mirajane thought to herself   "   L-laxus , y-you are not hiding your true feelings this time huh ... "  as she blushed when exactly at right timing , the moonlight shine brightly on Laxus face with such genuine smile .. Then Laxus started to confess..


.                  " You know what Mira , I'm so shy and ashamed on you.. "  He said as his expression changed..

                   " Why? " The white haired mage asked puzzledly ..


.               " Because of the care you had given me , I felt so guilty for the times I hadn't help you or rather the whole guild.. I felt so ashamed to myself when I remembered how I reluctantly and how bad my mouth answered No on your request when the Phantom Lord had attacked our guild.. I knew my words that came out from my mouth were so bad and filthy that could have really gave an impact on you .. How I made you cried because of that.. To tell the truth , I was really worried but because of my selfishness and being narrow-minded , I let all of you suffer.. Again, Sorry for that.. "   Laxus said as he sighed on the last part .


                        " To think that he would remember that , to think that he would actually say '"I'm sorry" ..Laxus , you.. "  MIra thought as her surprised/shocked face was continued for she never thought someone like Laxus would say something like that...


                      " But even all of the things I had done on you , you are still there for me and for everyone on the guild especially. I know that you were there .. when I fought one of the demons of Tartaros and  I was severely poisoned by the magic  barrier particles?? You are the who said that right .. The one who acknowledge my efforts on that situation.. Thanks again and I owe you alot !.. " 


                     Mira is now teary eyed for what she heard from the tough man as it continues to confess..

       
                        " You know what Mirajane.. I had just realized that because people like you only comes once in a blue moon , The man that you would choose and promised to love forever would be one of the luckiest persons living in this world .. " 


                        Mira's tears fell from her eyes as she clearly saw Laxus' face confessing by the bright moonlight ...

                        " L-laxus , y-you are such.. "  Mira wasn't able to continue because she was already sobbing while Laxus went near on her ..

                        " Oh , I-I'm sorry for making you cry , I d-didn't mean it pro~~ "

.                      " You're welcome and apology accepted *sob* , Now just stay close to me okay .. "  Mira said as she wrap her arms around him..

                        " M-mirajane .. "

                    " You know what Laxus , on all of the people on our guild , more than my ships and my otps , You are one of the persons  I really cared the most !! So don't be reckless again okay .. "

                     The almighty and tough man , Laxus, was now very surprised on the things he heard from Mirajane which makes him teary eyed that not even the great fights he once had on his life could bring him like this .. Only her , the pretty but dangerous , Mirajane..


                  " You sure knows how to make me fell to my knees .. " Laxus said as he hug her back..

                     " This would be the last time you can hug me like this though.. " Mira said as she hug Laxus tighter..

 
                      " I'll make sure this wouldn't be the last though too .. " Laxus replied .


                       " Goodnight , Laxus.. "

                       " Sweetdreams, Mira.. "




                  And so , Their last night with each other ended with a couple hug on the bed and accompanied by unforgettable memories about each other ..
