A few days had passed since my encounter in the bathroom. The memory of the girl still lingered in the back of my mind. The way her lips felt against mine, her hands around my neck pulling me in.
God what was happening to me. Why did she invade my thoughts so much with her beauty.
GET. OVER. IT. SERENITY.
Then again. I had to find her as soon as possible.
I let the warm water drip down my face and body. Showers had a way of calming my thoughts. At least for a while. After about 30 more minutes in the shower I stood in front of the mirror, wiping away the fog.
My hair was curled across my head, making an Afro. My skin is looking a little pale, even for my dark complexion.
I sighed and ran fingers across my jawline up to my eyes.
Wrinkles. Great.
I needed to feed and fast. I dried myself off and pulled over an over large t-shirt and staggered into the kitchen. Not feeding was definitely taking its toll on my appearance.
Making my way to the kitchen I found Maia cooking is breakfast. I pulled a chair out and sat down.
"GoodMorning Best Bitch!"
Maia wrapped her arms around me, squeezing tightly.
"GoodMorning to you to." I laughed out.
"So what's the moves for today Ser?"
I shrugged my shoulders, I had no intention of dragging Maia out with me today to find this girl.
"Oh come on! Let's go shopping."
She wrinkled her nose at me trying to be funny. I let out a loud laugh. Shopping would be fun, but I had other plans.
"I'm sorry maybe tomorrow Maia I'm kinda busy today, helping my cousin."
She frowned.
"How come I've never met your family."
I fidgeted with my fingers, trying to think on an excuse to tell.
"They don't like people."
I can't believe that's the best I could come up with.
She shrugged her shoulders.
"I'm sure they'd like me."
I laughed. I'm sure they would've.
After breakfast I decided to get dressed and head to the mall with Maia. My quest to find this girl could wait another day. I knocked on her door, but she didn't answer. I opened it and she was nowhere to be found.
I ran to the living room to see if she was waiting for me but she wasn't. On our kitchen counter was a sticky note.
"Sorry something came up! I'll see you later. XOXO Maia."
Great just when I planned on hanging out with her she ditches me.
I grabbed my purse, keys and phone and went to the grab the door knob, when the door swung open. Standing before me was- the girl.
She looked me up and down and entered our apartment. I stood back wide eyed. How in this century did she find out where I lived, and more importantly what was she doing here.
She walked to my bedroom like she knew where it was, almost as if she'd been here before. I followed her confused. Opening my bedroom door I found her laying on my bed propping herself up on her forearms.
