I arrived at Mack's house and immediately gave her and her parents hugs. We were best friends since kindergarten and we had been through everything together. From the corner of my eye I saw a huge thanksgiving spread and the house smelled of gravy and fall candles. I was spending thanksgiving with Mack and her family because my family had moved back to Canada, but I stayed for school. The room was well lit and was full of Mack's family.

As we started eating, the doorbell rings and someone I had never seen is at the other side of the door. "Jaylen! I'm so glad you could make it!", said Mack's mom, Janice. "Well Aunty I would never spend this holiday with anyone other than my family", the tall and somewhat handsome man said. I felt a knot in my stomach as he approached me and asked if the seat next to me was taken. I didn't realize he was talking to me until Mackenzie hit my foot under the table. I answered him and he sat down. Mack later introduced me to the young man. "Emma, meet my cousin, Jaylen. Jaylen, meet my best friend, Emma. Jaylen is from Atlanta, but was drafted here 2 years ago and now lives here." Said Mack. As we are eating, Janice starts asking me questions about my schooling. "Emma, I hear today was your last exam until your internship at the hospital ". "It was", i answered. Jaylen immediately adds to the conversation "Your going to be a doctor? That's amazing!" "She was top of her class in all 4 years" said Mack. I shy away and cover my face with my hands. "What do you wanna do?" Said a curious Jaylen. "Orthopaedic surgery" I replied. "Damn, I'm impressed," he responded in his deep voice. It turned me on so much and his height and features were just so attractive. I turn around and face Mack. I whisper in her ear: "why didn't you tell me your cousin was so hot?". She whispers back: "cause I new you would fuck and duck him". Ugh. Let me explain. When I was a teenager, I had a really bad experience with guys, I dated one guy and when our relationship took a twisted turn, I decided to only casually hook up with guys and call it a day. I whispered back to Mack saying that I would actually date her cousin and that he would be actual boyfriend material. The three of us talk a lot until we are finished eating. I find out about his career and his basketball life and he finds about my schooling. We later go in the family room and start watching tv. Two hours later we decided it was time to go home, but before we left, Jaylen told us about this club appearance he was doing tonight and that he would want us to come. Before he left, he comes up to me and gets real close. He whispered in my ear with his large lips, "I want you there tonight". I could feel the warmness inside of me. We later leave and go to our homes.

Two hours later
I get out of my bed and check the time. 8:24. I call Mack to ask her what time we would meet up to go to the club. She said 10:30. I hop in the shower and wash myself. I get out and do my hair and makeup. Then, I pick an outfit. It was cold outside so I pick out a dark blue long sleeve bodycon dress. Mack picks me up and we get to the club. Thankfully we were on the list and got through. Mack and I enter the club and head to the bar. We order drinks and start talking. We later head to the dance floor and start dancing until a tall man pats my shoulder.
