The Parlor was one of the group's favorite spot to chill. All the parlor was was a white box like room with a simple door and small windows on the left wall and a tons of inspirational posters on the wall , the actual icecream was just behind a counter and some lazy teenager asked what you wanted and brought it to your table. D'eanglo plopped down in a booth and gestured for Maxie to sit across from him. It almost felt like a date to him , he knew Maxie loved Menchie's frozen yogurt. Their waitress brought over D'eanglo's smoothie and gave Maxie her banana split yogurt. "You ready for school tommrow?" Maxie asked with a little wink. D'eanglo sighed "Never ever , Hey. Do ya know why Gregory left in such a hurry ?" Maxie opened her mouth to speak but was drowned out my the siren on the small TV on the wall of the parlor. A flashing message was shown , "WARNING : PLEASE EVACUATE TO YOUR HOMES. IF YOU ARE INFECTTED WITH THE GREEN FLU PLEASE GET TO A EVAC STATION. IF YOU KNOW SOMEONE INFECTED PLEASE SEND THEM TO A EVAC , WASH YOUR HANDS AT ALL TIMES." Maxie raised a eyebrow , "Evac ? Sounds kinda serious D'eanglo... And the first day of school is tommrow..." D'eanglo shrugged his shoulders and made a "Hmmm"  "Dunno , that's probaly why Greg went home early. You know how her Mom is." Maxie nodded , Gregory's Mom could be a real bitch ; mostly over Gregory's wellbeing. "Yeah , Mrs.Parker is totally convinced that your trying to rape Gregory EVERY five seconds." Maxie giggled throwing her trash in a nearby can. D'eanglo put a hand threw his curly hair casually "That woman is crazy as fuck." Maxie giggled again , not sure what else to do. She almost wanted to make a move on D'eanglo hoping that he wouldn't shrug it off like he did all summer. Maxie tried to appease to him , She turns and takes a quick glance at him. There is his , with his normal irritated and lazy expression on his face. One hand in his pocket as he opened the door to his old broken-down green truck. Maxie climbed in a tried her hardest not to just latch to him and kiss him. She needed to have self-control ; D'eanglo would be driving her and Gregory to school since he was the oldest. "Max , tell your Mom that Im taking you home." D'eanglo mentioned as he started up his vehicle torward my Mom's apartment. Maxie quickly texted her Mom , and thought of something to say before a silence fell over them both. "Delo , your not a bit worried about that weird talk about a flu ?" She looked down , knowing he most likely didn't care. "Doesn't affect me , almost don't even sound Real to tell ya the truth max." He sighed. He stopped at Maxie's Mom's house ; "Right , I'll see you tommrow Maxie. Sweet Dreams" He leaned forward to her. She closed her eyes , and heard the click. Of the door opening. Quickly and embarrasingly she got out the car , and walked two flights of stairs to get to her mom's dwelling. "Ma'" Maxie opened the door and was suprised to see Gregory and her Mom and Gregory's mother sitting on the couch. All of them holding small coffe mugs. "Hello , Mrs. Alexus" Maxie nodded , there was a dreary vibe in the air. Maxie mom broke the silence "Maxine , we need to talk." She gestured to a nearby stool where Maxie sat. "Yeah mom..." ; her mom heaved in a breath and began "Maxine , you will not be going to school tommrow : due the virus." Maxie's emotions raged around , truly she wanted to just break down and cry out. There goes her plans to FINALLY talk to D'eanglo. Yet , she was troubled. How can a virus be oh so , severe.
