Mackenzies pov

"Point your dam feet Mackenzie" Screamed abby. You cant even point a foot?"

I tried to not cry but a tea rolled down onto my cheek.

"Save your tears for the PILLOW" shouted abby." Your ten years old Mackenzie and you cry like a baby and and are not at the level of dance where you should be. When Maddie was ten she could do every thing I could of ask"

I see Maddie smirk at me and I just rolled my eyes at her. Soon the group rehearsal is over and Abby dismissed us Maddies solo. I walk into the dancers den and started to cry. The other girls comfort me. I get sick and tired of getting compared to Maddie because I'm not Maddie I'm Mackenzie.  As I'm in the dancers den I can hear Abby complimenting Maddie. 

"Wonder full maddie" abby says delightfully. "Your are the best dancer on the team!"

Soon Maddie solo rehearsal is over and one by one all of the other girls go in for their solo rehearsal. We all have solos this week because Abby is deciding who is going to get solos for nationals which is in a few weeks. We already know the Maddie is going to get a solo. Even is she came second at this upcoming competition she would still get a solo at nationals any ways. 

Soon its time for my solo rehearsal. Its a jazz routine called Summer. During it I still get yelled out. "USE EMOTIONS" screams Abby. "STRAIGHTEN THE LEG, MADDIE CAN DO THAT SOO MUCH BETTER WHEN SHE WAS EIGHT AND YOUR TEN" Im pretty sure that entire country could just hear her screaming since she is very loud. "Right your done." she said. " I'm not working on your solo any more have fun at the competition. 

I cant believe she cut my solo rehearsal time short. Well If I do bad at the competition not my fault. When dance was finished I got my gear and started to head home. My mom kept on going on how I needed to be like Maddie. I just annoyed her. When I got home I raced up to my bedroom and started to cry.

I always get compared to Maddie

I wish there was a moment where I can shine.
