Lesley was sat at her desk, staring at her phone screen, with an uncomfortably slouched posture and shaky hands. Her tear stained cheeks tingled with the saline substance uncontrollably draining from her puffy red eyes. She hugged her legs tight to her chest as she realised how much she lost in such a short time.
She hates how much control her feelings still have over her happiness. It baffles her how he could forget her so quickly while she hurt so much.

She stifled a cry.

These few moths they haven't spoken to each other and she knew how much he changed in that space of time.

She got up slowly biting through the pain as her legs had gone dead from staying in the same position for too long. Reaching her bed she tucked herself in and put the phone on charge. She hugged her legs around the duvet one hand resting under the pillow.
It reminded her of the time she fell asleep glued to his side. Her thoughts then went to the time he interrupted her sleep and she told him to go away while still sleeping and later remembered none of it. That made a chuckle escape her lips.
It reminded her of all the times they were together. Happy. Wondering if she will ever feel that way again.
With these thought she fell asleep as she did every other day since the start of term. The 3 months went quickly but thinking about him it seemed like years had passed.
The worst feeling was the guilt. She felt responsibility over the pain she caused them both resting on her heart like a weight making it impossible to feel any type of comfort.
With these thoughts, she fell asleep.

Lesley

I reached to get my phone from the bedside table turning off the alarm.

5:30

I promised I would always love him. I used the thinking that the more I say I'm over it the faster the process will go... clearly wasn't working out for me. However, I did want to move on and at that moment I promised myself to actively try and stop thinking about him.

I got up and decided to go about my routine of showering then putting makeup on and picking out a simple outfit. I did some of the work set by my teachers and then got ready for the classes I would have that day.

I let my mind wonder as I mindlessly daydreamed. For some reason I was imagining a pair of beautiful eyes. They hypnotised me to the point my heart beat faster and my breath caught in her throat.

The colours seemed to be fighting for dominance and it became hard to tell if the eyes were green or grey. The scene seemed to zoom out slightly, but the sound of my alarm made me jump out of my thoughts.
