Chapter 1

*5 months later*

Lesley's POV

I walked over to my locker and put all my folders away.
It was hard not to think about the eyes I saw almost every night in my dreams and could zone out thinking about them.

I didn't manage to do much work that morning which made me quite annoyed especially because I was very tired from being up so early anyway and I expected to be more productive.

I jumped as the locker slammed shut right in front of my face and my best friend appeared. Elise was a tall tanned girl with shoulder length brown hair.
"Hey babe," she flashed a mischievous grin "Guess what class is getting a bunch of new guys joining?"
I laughed inside since I know how much my friend wants me to find a hot guy or at least stop thinking about stuff that made me so miserable. Apparently, it's annoying to listen to the constant guy talk about just one guy. It even started annoying when that's all I seem to be able to think about. I'm fed up of it. Life should be more interesting than that.

"Well I know you well enough. Go on, tell me when they join and if you've seen them?" I rolled my eyes but didn't pause for long enough for her to answer. "The second term is already over so what made a bunch of guys randomly join our school?" I made a confused face.
"One of them is my cousin. He is off limits since that would be too awkward, but I know he has a bunch of free guys that wouldn't mind some company of a hot girl like you." she winked and laughed at her mischievous plan.

I was excited hearing the news she gave me but was still confused with a couple of teens moving in the middle of school.

Nevertheless, I liked surrounding myself with friends and always got on better with guys. I hoped to make close friends and go in with that attitude of keeping the newcomers close. They would surely appreciate someone introducing them to the area.
"Hey did you even listen to anything I was saying?" She said tapping my arm.
"Umm... no sorry I zoned out." she sighed at my response knowingly.
"Basically they guys are really close... like a pack you know and well they live together. And you know how you like parties? Well they are that sort of bunch." That got me excited. I loved going out. Parties were definitely my thing. My parents would likely put me on house arrest until I turned twenty-five.

"Now you got me." I had to admit it to her, I was actually really excited. She laughed just as the bell rang and got my folder out of my locker dragging me to class.
I found out the guys will be joining next week but they will arrive today, and Elise will be meeting them whenever they get unpacked. There might even be a party this weekend.

"My parents won't let me."
"Please Les," she groaned "You know how fun it will be. I'll ask them if you can sleep over at mine, they won't find out about any of it. I promise you won't regret it."
"Fine but if you get me grounded, I'm using your card when we go shopping." I hated going shopping and she knew it but who doesn't like it when it's on their terms? She glared at that and walked out and downstairs probably finding my mum in the kitchen. I secretly hoped she can persuade her.

I tried to listen in from upstairs and almost gave up until the voices got louder. I knew they hadn't come any closer to me as I would hear them approaching and their voices were even as if nothing changed. My eyes widened in shock as I was hearing the rest of the conversation from meters away.

I mean I knew that with age, eavesdropping was my area of expertise but that would hardly explain what just happened. At that point I was slightly happy hearing mum agree to the always great power of persuasion of my friend but at the same time my heart beat faster by the strange phenomenon I experienced.
I could hear my friends' happy voice as she swiftly changed the topic as if the request was a casual one.
I heard their voices as loud as if they were stood right next to me.

Then, all I could pick up was the loud noise of the microwave plate spinning interrupting any other noise downstairs.

Well I guess we will be meeting the new guys this Friday then. I couldn't wait to just let go of everything... to feel free.
