"Please don't jump, Camila." My Aunt Angie begged me.

I looked between her, Austin, and the ground 500 meters below, considering whether or not to jump. Jumping from this height would definitely kill me and could be my way out of this world, this hellhole of a world that I was born into. A world full of anger, violence and war.

I looked at my Aunt again. I saw the tears falling from her eyes as she watched me, begging me, with her bright blue eyes, not to jump.

If I jumped I'd never see her again. I'd never see the pretty girl in my history class. The girl with the hair as black as a raven's wing, the girl with the eyes as green as emeralds, the girl with the cute button nose, the girl with the beautiful smile, the girl with the perfect white teeth, that showed as she smiled, and the girl with the laugh that made you want to laugh.

I frowned at the thought of her as I looked at the ground below, the noisy traffic whizzing past, unaware that we were on the roof and that I might jump. Then I looked at my Aunt. Then at Austin, my only friend, who knew exactly what I was going through, he was the same as me.

And at that exact moment I made my decision.
