00: PROLOGUE
She was burning, burning, burning.
Flames danced upon her bronze skin, burning everything in it's wake. Leaving almost nothing behind, but a pile of gray ash.
Then, she woke up.

She had never considered herself to be heroic, or brave, even. But, the minute she heard a baby crying from a burning apartment complex; she put away her fears, and ran into the building without a second thought. However, she wished she thought about it a bit more. Maybe if she had, she would have had a plan, and she still would be alive. But, did she regret it? Not at all. If anything, she'd do it again if she had to - not that she'd want to go through that experience again.
At the end of the day, she had saved a child's life - at the loss of her own. She had handed the baby to a crying woman, urging her to leave with the infant, while she continued to look for anymore people who had needed help. However, she had gotten trapped in one of the apartments. The door was blocked by burning debris, and she was on the third story; leaving her no way to escape.
She had died agonizingly slow.
Then, she was awake.

She was surrounded by a dark abyss, absolutely nothing was in sight. Her body felt cold-did she even have a body?- and her mind was clouded.
"Doyou wishto live?"
A demented voice echoed throughout the darkness, causing chills to go up her spine, and a gasp to leave her lips. She was scared - terrified, even. She certainly didn't expect this after death. There were no fluffy clouds, and pearly gates; nor was there burning flames, or chilling screams. Instead, it was only her, darkness, and an unknown voice. She couldn't decide if this was worse.
