As I sighed it started lightly snowing, I looked up taking a glance at the sky and people.
I recently just had a conversation with my friend and he can't visit me this holiday , which upset me but I understood
I walked the streets for a few hours seeing stores and coffee shops with few people in there, but mostly couples, as I walked in heat hit my chapped cheeks and nose, my hands warmed up more too.
I ordered a coffee to go, I wasn't going to sit there alone and make myself look more lonely than I already am, so I just kept walking around, store to store.
It got darker, but not completely, Christmas lights filled the streets on my way home.
As I stepped in my house I took my jackets and sweaters off and turned on the fire place, I sat in the living room listening to Christmas music and drinking the coffee I had ordered earlier, which cooled down a bit.
It was a day before Christmas Eve and haven't heard anything different from him, another sigh escaped my lips.
I decided to be more productive for the day, I went out to buy a few gifts for family and friends, and bought myself something to wear for the next two days coming up.
As I finished gift shopping, I went to the grocery store for tomorrow nights dinner with my friends, we've been planning in November for a holiday dinner all together which wasn't much of us in our group, of course he was involved but couldn't make it.
Today was Christmas Eve, I woke up early to get food done before I had to do anything else.
I wrapped some presents and put some in bags, I didn't get ready to go any where yet I had took a shower and watched a few shows while cleaning up the house. A little later I got ready to head out to my parents house where my family go over to on Christmas, it was snowing, so another white Christmas tomorrow maybe.
"Bye love you guys." I said hugging everyone bye as I was walking out, now it was time for the dinner at my house with friends.
As soon as I got home I set everything up on the dining room table and pulled out extra chairs, when I was finished I heard a knock at the door.
"Hi come in!" I said greeting my friends on their way in with hugs and smiles.
"So how's college?" One of my friends asked
"Not bad I guess, but a lot of work." I said chuckling
"Oh yeah you guys can come get food if you're ready to eat." I called out when I got into the kitchen.
We all got our food and ate, we caught up on things, laugh, and tell stories that recently happened, but one of them got interrupted by a knock.
"Who?"I said looking at them everyone was here except him but he had other things
I looked through the window and everyone else stacked on top of each other looking out there too.
"Oh my god."
"Merry Christmas." He said smiling,
I hugged him tightly and he hugged back.
"I missed you."I said whispering looking up at him
"I missed you too." He said back
"Let's go eat!" One of our friends yelled.
When he got his plate we all got seated and continued our conversations from before catching him up on the same stuff I was told.
It soon got late and people leaving, he stayed later than the rest
"Still surprised?" He asked leaning over the counter in the kitchen, I just stood there smiling and shook my head.
"Yeah, I really thought you weren't able to make it at all."I said leaning over the counter in front of him
"Now I'm here and staying."he said quietly
"You don't have to leave anymore?"I asked popping up from my position
"I finished college." He said sitting up coming to where I was.
"Now I get to be here with you again and not just visiting every time we get a break." He said
He lifted my head up with his index finger under my chin.
"What is it?" I asked making eye contact with him
"Nothing, just thinking of something." He said
"Of?"I said carrying out the last letter, he positioned his hand on my cheek and spoke out
"Would you stop me if I kissed you?" He asked coming closer with little space between us, I hesitated at first because I was nervous, but shook my head no.
"Good then." He went in for the kiss,
His lips were soft against my which were probably chapped from the cold weather, I didn't move at first because it was my first kiss, he knew so he stopped
"I'm sorry."I said holding his wrist from the hand that is on my cheek
"No I am I just got in the moment I forgot you've never had your first kiss yet." He said
"I'll try this time." I said looking back up to him
"Just move your lips with mine." He said leaning back in.
He started to kiss me slowly to let me get the hang of it, I felt more confident about it now and wrapped my arms around his neck, letting the kiss get deeper.
After a minute or two we stopped and stared at each other then just laughed a little.
"Let me help you clean up." He said as we separated.
We got the kitchen done, but still had the dining room left, he put back the chairs, and I swept whatever was on the ground from the table.
When we finished we both let out a sigh and fell back on the couch.
He turned on the fire place after a while and turned the tv on
"Movies or music?" He asked turning towards me
"Movie?" I said shrugging my shoulders
"Sounds good." He said finding a Christmas movie, he put the remote on the coffee table that was in the middle of the floor.
Then laid on the couch and signaling for me to go over to where he was.
He hugged me from behind by the way we were laying, I soon fell asleep towards the end of the movie.

He caressed her head before leaving a kiss on it, he turned the tv and fire off trying to stay quiet, then thought of waking her to go to sleep because he didn't know which was her room, but he didn't want to wake her at the same time.
He carried her upstairs trying to figure out which was her room
"It's the one right there." She said yawning and pointing towards the room.
He then put her in the bed, she woke up a little after.
"Do you need to change, I'll get out." He said opening the door and closing it behind him.
While she was changing he grabbed clothes from his suitcase that was left in the car.
As soon as he got done he knocked on the door asking for permission to come in.
"You can come in." She said lightly
He walked in seeing her already laying down in the covers.
"Goodnight."He said kissing her temple then making his way out to the guest bedroom
"You can sleep in here." She said before he closed the door, he didn't hesitate to come back, he walked back in and shut the door behind him, he then hopped in the bed and quickly into the covers getting comfortable and she giggled at him.
They talked for a little bit until they both couldn't keep their eyes open, she fell asleep before he did.
He kissed her cheek once more before whispering a
"I love you." To her, her lips curled into a small smile, they then both were asleep in each other's arms, she was happy her best friend and lover got to come after all.
