When Lacey had woken up, again, it was the middle of the night. she was in an all white room. her arms where strapped down again, but so was her middle and both her ankles.
No one was there to greet her this time. She wished she could tell the nurse, that she was sorry. A new doctor came in giving her a shot, and patted her foot. But she couldnt feel any thing.
"Get some rest," the doctor said looking at her.
"Why?" she was confused again and that was one of the things she hated being.
"Because you'r going home tomorrow." there was a folded up, wheel chair in the corner. Lacey thought about breaking down. She pictured her class ingrnoring her. It was bad enough she was parilized.
"Why did it have to be me?" she whispered and fell asleep.

Lacey's dad had caried her to his camaro. that car was supposed to be her's one day... now her future was down the drain.
"Dad... i think im going to go for a little....uh...strool when we get home" she didnt look at her dad, but she could tell he was looking at her.
"ok sweetie.... would u like me to come with you?" he climbed into the front seat and looked back at her...
"no... i think i will be fine." she said while pulling her shorts down. she felt to exsposed....
they soon pulled up to the house. her dad helped her into the wheel chair. and she used her hands to wheel herself down the side walk
"I'll be back soon dad!" she called over her shoulder and turned the corner. Finally, alone at last. just then a group of kids from her school turned the corner as well facing her. good thing she acted quickly or else she would have been seen.
Lacey wheeled herself along the bike path into the woods. she had a flash light, cause she didnt plan on coming home in less then an hour. she wanted to stay out as long as she could.
She soon heard something russtling in the bushes.
"Who's there? i have a flash light! and im not afraid to use it..." she wasnt joking, but it sounded more funny out loud then in her head.
