A Special Kind Of Love?

Chapter 2

[Serena POV]

The rest of the day was almost normal apart from the little talk about how Ash beat Alain. Alain was pissed the whole day, he didn't even talk during the lunch. He, Calem, Paul and Gary were glaring at Ash during lunch. As for Ash, he was looking a bit cheerful, maybe for the fact that he got to beat one of his haters so badly. But as per his request for having friends, no one took his offer, he was still the same lone outcast of the school.

After the dispersal, when we were heading for the buses. I saw something that made me feel a little, just one percent sad for Ash. But I ignored it and continued for the bus. What I saw was Ash's locker was overflowed with letters of hate. There were all kinds of pictures and abuses that would make feel hurt. That was the punishment of Ash for defeating Alain.

When I reached home, I noticed my mom had gone for shopping. I went to the kitchen to find a message telling, that she will be back till evening and there were snacks on the fridge. I opened the fridge and saw a tasty looking blueberry pie. After eating I went to my room.

My room is just as ordinary room as if a teenage girl. I big bed for one, a study table, a cupboard for clothes, a dressing table and table for other accessories and equipments. There was a window to the left of the bed, opposite of the bathroom door. The entrance was through the mid wall.

I put my bag at my table and plopped down on the bed. I surfed through my mobile for some time then I got up. I took my laptop to talk to my friends. I opened the pokechat and waited for someone to get online. Soon after May was online. I quickly clicked her name and the call was sent. Moments later she picked up.

M:Hey Serena, what's up?

S: just bored of nothing.

M: well I just got out of a fight with Max.

Max was May's younger brother. He was really smart and talented battler. He always use to get into a fight with may, you know the siblings relationship. Anyways, onwards with the chat.

S: that could be told from your hair. Haha.

I chuckled, her hair was a bit wild because if the fight.

M: hmm, yeah. He actually pulled my hair hard… It hurts.

S: so any plans for today?

M: not yet, let's wait for Dawn. I bet she is deciding sometime for today right now.

S:I guess your right.

We chatted about thing that only we girls understand for quite a while, when I noticed Dawn was online. I added her to the chat.

D: hey guys, what going on? Guess what I have really good thing to do today.

M: we were just waiting for you, we knew you would have someone special.

D: well, how about we go to the river by the forest. It's great there. There's a large flower field, it's really beautiful.

S: sounds good to me.

M: yeah me too. Who else's going.

D: I've not contacted yet. Let's have a girl's day.

S: okay, I'll tell Shauna.

M: I'll call Misty and Iris.

D: then I'll get Hilda and Miette.

S: then let's meet at the forest gate at 4.

M&D: okay.

I closed my laptop and went for the kitchen to get some snacks for the little picnic. I found some chips packets. I went back to my room to find a small bag. When I was all easy I looked the time, still 3:23. I had plenty of time, plus mom wasn't yet home. If she don't come until quarter to four, I'll leave a message. I sat on the couch in the living room and turned in the TV. I watched some movie scenes and infotainment. There was a sound from the door, I turned around to see Mom walking in with loads of groceries. I got up and helped getting them to the kitchen. I told her about our plan and she was okay with it.

Since it was almost time, I took my bag, kissed my mom and went out. After walking for good 10 minutes I reached the forest gate. May was already there along with Misty. We greeted each other. Soon everyone else was there.

We made our way through the first path to the river. Though our way we also gathered some me berries. We let our Pokemons so that they could okay with each other. I had a Fennekin and Eevee. May had a Torchic. Dawn had a Piplup. Misty has a Togepi, but she was so little that misty had to hold her in her hands. Shauna and Hilda had Ivysaur and Buneary. Miette had a Slurpuff. They all were running around our feet along the way.

We reached the river after some more time of walking and talking. We laid out thing on a picnic blanket and sat in a circle. Our Pokemons were playing beat the river. We chatted about many things, we were all alone so no one could hear our talk. Everyone had brought some snacks which we exchanged among us.

We were having a great time, that was until Miette pointed out sometime in the trees.

“Hey what's that in there.” She said pointing her finger in the direction of one of the trees. We all turned our head towards her indication. There was a shadow of someone walking through the forest. “Might be a wild Pokemon, or a traveler.” Hilda suggested, “I guess..” Miette relaxed. But then there was some noise in the trees. “Hey, where did our Pokemons go?” May said out loudly. We were so lost in our talk that we didn't notice our Pokemons missing.

“Oh no, we need to find them.” “Togepi! Where's Togepi?” “Buneary where are you?” “Eevee! Fennekin! Come back!” We looked around but they weren't there. “Could they have gone into the forest?” Dawn asked, we all looked at her with fearful eyes. Of course we were worried, or Pokemons were not trained for battling. There weren't strong enough to take down a wild Pokemon.

Before we could go into the forest to search for them, there was another rustling from the trees. Soon after all our Pokemons came running to us. They had a look of fear in their faces. “What happened, why are you guys scared?” The Pokemons tried to tell but they're were really scared. Then we heard a roar from the forest. We all stiffened at the loud voice.

Then sometime ascended towards the sky from the first then landed in front of us. It was a really, really, reeaaally large Charizard, even larger than Alain's. He looked really angry too, maybe our Pokemons disturbed him in his sleep.

“Looks like they woke him up.” “Looks like it.” We were so terrified by his presence that no one moved a muscle. The Charizard stared at us then gave a loud roar, which made us flinch hard. “W-We're sorry Cha-charizard. We d-didn't mean to d-d-disturb you.” Misty spoke up. She was more braver than us.

Charizard's fierce facial expressions suddenly changed into a smiling one and he started laughing. This made us confused. He was laughing so hard that now we were feeling uneasy.

“Ughh… Would you mind telling us your little joke Mr Charizard?” Miette asked. I giggled at the ‘Mr’ part. Charizard looked at Miette and his expression again changed to a serious one. Now he was freaking me out. He walked up to Miette, every step making the ground tremble. He stopped right in front of her and lightly hit on her head with his fist. I don't think it was painful.

Miette just muttered back a soft sorry while rubbing her head. Charizard then took a step back and then flew up in the sky. We all stared at him till he vanished behind the trees.

“He was sure a wired Charizard.” Iris said, “yeah, but I don't think he was wild.” Shauna pointed out. “Huh?” “I saw a mega stone wrapped around his tail.” She told, “whose could it be?” Miette wondered.

Since it was getting late so we packed up our things and made our way back. Along the way we kept on teasing Miette for calling Charizard a Mr. She was getting annoyed of us, but it also amused us.

When I reached home, I did my homework then went down to have dinner. After that I went to my room to get a good night sleep.
