Chapter 8

A/N~ Heh heh... Sorry for not updating and leaving you guys on a cliffhanger but here it is!

"I know I haven't been there for you... But I wasn't sure how normal human beings lived. In all the stories I've read, like Cinderella, for instance, there's a mean step-mother. I thought that I could be that mean step-mother, because I thought that was how things worked in this world. I mean, humans wrote the stories based on reality in the human world, right?" Aunt Seulgi nodded to herself as a sort of assurance.

Jungkook shook his head, and smiled. Only Aunt Seulgi could have come up with such a ridiculous way of living. He nodded as Aunt Seulgi continued with her story about how his mom was a fairy, but fell in love with a human. (As typical as love stories go in the human world...) But his father had died, due to severe sickness to the heart, and his mother was so devastated that she left Jungkook with Aunt Seulgi, asking for him to have a normal human life, just like his father. She was never seen again.

"I'm sorry, Jungkook, that you had to live with a grumpy fairy like me. I know I wasn't the best at being an aunt, but at least I got you into college. That's an achievement, right?" Seulgi sighed, "I'm really sorry. I can never repay you for how you were treated. But things will be better now..."

Jungkook could only stare at his Aunt Seulgi. Upon receiving all this news, his brain was still tired from the turn of events in his day. He needed to sleep, but yet his curiosity still shined in his eyes. He gave his aunt a tired smile, and bid her goodnight. Aunt Seulgi smiled and tucked Jungkook into bed, slightly hovering over him as she did so.

In just a few moments, Jungkook fell asleep. Seulgi smiled at the sleeping boy. "Goodnight, my dear nephew... I'll be sure to tell you about YOUR story, tomorrow..."
