Rosé jumped out of her skin as a bolt of lightning struck the tree right across the road. Slightly shaking because of fear and the cold, she continued running through the storm with her flimsy jacket held above her head. The roads were deserted and the rain beat down on the concrete relentlessly. She was still a little distance away from her home so she trudged on. She reckoned it was past 11 pm now and honestly she was worried for her own safety.
"I can't believe I lost track of time", she admonished herself while gently shaking her head.
The pink haired girl had been so preoccupied taking pictures of a certain blonde and that had led her into this predicament. Not only was she drenched and cold but she also faced the probability of assault from murky characters lurking in the shadows.
Hardly had the thought of being assaulted crossed her mind when suddenly a huge dog leapt out of an alley right in front of her. Rosé was scared out of her mind but something stopped her from screaming. And good thing she didn't, because the huge dog's attention wasn't directed at her at all. Scared as she was, Rosé couldn't help but be intrigued by the scene playing out in front of her. She silently crept behind a trashcan and watched the events unfolding before her eyes.
The dog was magnificent in a way that made Rosé think it was regal. It's fur was the lightest shade of brown, with almost a blonde hue to it. It walked slowly as the muscles on its back flexed with each motion. A few feet ahead of the dog stood a dark figure that was cloaked in some material that seemed darker than the night itself. It was shimmery but glittered with a dark glow. The material seemed to swish about the figure when he/she stood still even when there was no wind blowing.
"Now, that's curious" Rosé scrunched her nose as she tried to wrap her mind around it.
"Maybe it's some type of new designer creation".
Rosé noticed that the dog was now snarling, making low growling noises at the hooded figure. But it made no moves to attack. The more Rosé looked at the dog the more she became convinced that it was not a dog, but some other more dangerous animal..like a hyena or a fox..or maybe even a wolf...
The dark figure suddenly lifted the sides of his/her cloak and brought them down swiftly and somehow a blinding light filled the area for a split second. Rosé instinctively moved her hands to shield her eyes. When the bright glare had vanished a second later her eyes took a minute to adjust to the darkness. She saw that the hooded figure had disappeared and so had the animal.
Rosé was flabbergasted to say the least. She gingerly checked her surroundings a few times to make sure she was indeed alone. After she was fairly certain, she began walking again. Hardly had she gone a few steps ahead when she heard a whimpering sound coming from the alley the dog had emerged from.
"This night never ends!!!" She mentally cursed.
It was probably a good idea to let whoever/whatever it was in the alley alone. Her life probably would have progressed mundanely and normally like millions of other lives.
But who gives a shit about normal? So Rosé peeked.
And the girl's mouth hung open at what she saw.
Inside the alley was a very naked girl with a long, nasty looking cut on her back. She was whimpering in pain and trying to reach what looked like a pile of clothes in the corner. Rosé immediately leapt forward to help and the movement made the naked girl's eye shift in her direction. A look of shock passed through the girl's features. Rosé could not believe it..
"Li..Lisa??"Lisa finally managed to grab a shirt and covered her front with it as she addressed Rosé.
"You're the girl that's been stalking me."
It wasn't a question, it was a statement. Rosé stood there perspiring in front of her naked crush, as she promptly lost the ability to make any coherent sentence or words emerge from her mouth.
