Your My... Juliet?
Chapter 1: You've Gotta Be Kidding Me...Right?
~
(Still Harry's POV)
I stumble away from Louis' stone still body, praying my face wasn't as red as I thought it was.
"I...err..." I mumble, staring at my toes.
"This has to be a mistake," Louis states, causing me to snap my head up in confusion. What?
"Mistake?" I question. The crowd of people were still here, all eyes on us. I feel extremely uncomfortable.
"Well of course. You really think they meant for a guy to play as Juliet? Don't be stupid." he snaps, causing me to flinch.
I lower my head pathetically. "Sorry. . ." I stutter.
"Well whatever. Come on. We're going to talk to Mrs. Othento." he says hurriedly, grabbing my hand to drag us both out of the watching crowd. At the sudden contact of skin, electricity shoots up my arm, leaving my hand numb. Holy Shit. Louis drags me along, stopping finally when we reach an open door, leading to a nearly empty classroom.
"Mrs. Othento?" Louis calls to the blonde haired women, who looks up lazily from her desk. A smile suddenly springs onto her face.
"Boys!" she beams, motioning us over with her hands. "So good to see you! What do my big stars need? Hmm?" she chirps, completely oblivious to Louis' angry face and my uncomfortable own.
"Actually, it's about the play Mrs. Othento, The roles more specifically," Louis states in a cool, calm voice. I fidget restlessly, notching the fact that Louis has not yet released his grip on my hand. But Mrs. Othento's grin, if possible, grows wider.
"Splendid! Oh God, you don't know how excited I am for this. I talked to the administrators here, and they love the idea! It's surely going to be a play to remem -"
"No" Louis shouts, releasing my hand to slam both of his on her desk. "I'm not Juliet!"
Mrs. Othento pauses, her mouth open in shock at Louis' sudden outburst.
"Well," she crosses her arms. "That's not what the papers say Louis,"
"I don't give a damn about what the papers say!" Louis hollers and I flinch sideways. He glares at Mrs. Othento frostily. But much to my surprise, the teacher held her ground. She meets his gaze full on, leaning closer.
"You should. Because that's your role."
"My role should have been Romeo," Louis growls. I stare at my feet. It should have been. I don't like this side of Louis.
"Don't you think Harry deserves the role?" she asks Louis.
Louis pauses, glaring at me sideways. "No. He didn't even want to try out, he told me so himself. He's never acted, and the only reason he tried out was for his friend," Louis spat. "While I've been with the Drama Club for almost four years!"
I inch away, wishing I could just disappear. I hate this. I should have never tried out. Damn you Liam.
"And also -"
Mrs. Othento shoves a hand in Louis' face, cutting him off. "That's enough," she states firmly, walking around her desk and past Louis, making her way to me. I feel myself tense.
Harry. What do you think about this?" she asks, cocking her head to the side.
"Uhm. . .er. .I mean. . ." I mumble, feeling Louis' glare burn into my forehead. "It's kinda. . .weird," I manage out.
