Alex walked onto the field the Moist Florida air engulfed her as she inhaled deeply the stands were littered with trash from yesterday's World Cup Match against Manchester United. It was only the first round but that win had meant the world to 16 year old Alex. It had been her dream forever to win the World Cup for team USA. But Alex's journey to get to the World Cup was not easy one bit. Six weeks ago she had played the team Polonia who played dirty. They had purposely fouled her and she ended up in the hospital with a broken ankle. But now she was back she played goalie during the World Cup match but there goalie who had also been injured against Polonia was cleared to play. And so was Alex. Alex jogged over to her team who were in a circle warming up with some stretches.
"All right now everyone gather round". Coach yells in his gruff voice. "We have a new teammate. And I'm sure she will be the key to our success. Her name is Zadan.
