Mister Puppet Man
(maybe chapter 1)
Once upon a time, there was a beautiful young girl about the age of nine. This young girl had long light pink messy hair, a blue quarter sleeve shirt designed with the word "love" and a bright red heart underneath it. She also wore a magenta pink skirt. This young girl had a name as beautiful as herself "Astra". Astra was a kind-heated girl always saying please and thank you. She offered help when she saw people struggling. All of these traits alone would be enough for someone to befriend her right? Even so, everyone hated her.
Sadly Astra was cursed, which was the reason why everyone hated her. The curse was not Astra's fault nor was caused by something bad she had done. Astra had simply been born into a cursed family. The curse that followed her family was different for every girl it latched on to. Astra's curse was that she could not be loved or liked. If Astra were to ever fall in love with someone she thought did not love her back she would fall ill and die.
The reason why Astra was cursed was that a foolish ancestor of hers made a deal with an evil witch. Astra's ancestor was in love with a man who fell ill too easily. One time when this man fell ill there was no chance of him getting better. He would most likely die. Astra's ancestor was heartbroken and in despair. When she was on a walk to find some medicine to ease her love she came across a tall beautiful woman dressed in a black dress with a black veil, black lipstick, and a black cape.
Astra's ancestor found this woman interested and started talking to her. "Um, excuse me I'm Laya and I'd like to talk to you, w-would that be okay?" , she introduced herself with a shaky voice and an embarrassed look on her face.
The women looked down with a kind smile, "That would be lovely." she replied in a warm feminine like tone. Laya and the women had a nice long conversation which made Laya feel better. In the middle of talking the women said "I can heal him, you know"
Laya stopped in her tracks with wide eyes "What do you mean him? Him who?" The women continued to walk for a bit. She dropped her head to the ground and turned to face her.
"I like you and I want to help you, I-I can see the pain and frustration in your eyes." The woman glanced up at her "I can also see that you're kind-heated and honest women. What I ask of you in return might put a nail in the coffin but" the women's voice dropped "please, please say yes. I can assure you that it will all work out and that you'll live a happy life. Just listen to what I have to say." Laya was hesitant at first but nodded her head slightly and smiled signing that she would listen to what the women would say with an open heart.
The women explained that she was a witch that adored humans, that she could make a medicine that would clear all of her loves illnesses. She was very vague in explaining this part but she said that she needed her firstborn daughter, and everything will turn out okay. Laya admired her bravery and trusted to tell her these things. She had agreed upon the deal although she felt suspicious.
To Laya and her husband's surprise, the medicine worked and he didn't pass away, but because the medicine worked that meant she would have to give away her child as well. She did not wish to give her child away so she was careful not to give birth, but as time went on the memory of the promise she made that day faded making her less careful. Laya forgot her promise and had a child.
A year after the baby was born the women appeared. She told them she couldn't wait any longer. She had fought for them to keep her child. Laya suddenly remembered everything that happened that day of the promise, the tears, the fear. No matter what, promise or no promise Laya was not willing to give up her child and she let the women know that.
The women kept a straight face but no matter how hard she tried she couldn't fight back the tears. The woman cried with a straight face, sad, and in a shaky voice "I know that our story will have a happy ending," I'm sad to have to do this" the woman looked away and whisper "I care about you, I really do. I'm sorry" the woman looked back at her with pitch black eyes "you have failed to fulfill this promise. Now your bloodline will be cursed until the day the daughter of the pagan gods is reborn in your blood" her voice changed from a soft feminine voice to a booming rough voice followed by an echo.
