Penelope's POV:
8 : 30 pm
As I stare at the moon, she stares back, like if she knows all my secrets, like if she can listen to my thoughts.
I currently have my windows open to feel the night's autumn breeze enter my compact apartment room. It's a saturday night, and New York's is wide awake. New York's bright lights glare through my windows. I never liked the idea of living in New York Times Square, but my mom says it's only temporary.
It's getting late and I decide whether to go to sleep... but I decide against it; the night is too bright to go to sleep. I lay on my bed and look around, my thoughts flow around the room and head different directions, I focus on one. Does the perfect guy exist? What is the perfect guy for me? All of a sudden I am no longer alone in my room. There is a guy standing right in front of me, in the middle of my room. As I stare, he stares back and everything around me suddenly stops, just like if time decided to become nonexistent. He looks so real I can get a sense of his cologne, is he really here? As I stand from my bed and start walking towards the human figure in front of me I hear, "Go to sleep Penelope! You have school tomorrow!" I snapped out of my thoughts and find myself all alone in my room in desolation.I make my way to my bed once again and look at my clock, it's 12:03 am, I lost track of time. When I stare at the numbers fixedly, the numbers start to fade and my room starts to get cloudy... after a few minutes I find myself in deep sleep.
