My bare feet pounded on the hard asphalt road as I ran as fast as it could carry me, ignoring the much needed rest my bare feet screamed for. Too sacred to tend to it. I know it won't be a pleasant scenario to deal with it when I get to safety. Yes safety! that's all I cared about when I woke up on a strange bed in a room that wasn't the calm air bnb room that I had booked from Brazil.
The last I remembered before this whole shitshow was I was strolling by the mid century bridge made up of boulders munching on some delicious churros contemplating whether I should settle down here for a year or two. As a freelance digital marketer earning a fairly decent income it gives me ample freedom to go wherever I want anytime anywhere. And this works for me as I didn't like the idea of tying down to a place. There is much to see and live for in this world.
I gulped an air full into my lungs as I held it the whole time I was running mainly out of being scared to death. Breathing heavily through my nose I aggressively wiped the tears with the back of my hand that were running down the bridge of my nose. How the fuck did I end up being kidnapped in broad daylight. The only thing I remember was a beefy man in a dark suit called out to me asking the directions to the Santa maria cathedral. As he held my attention out of nowhere I felt a thick cloth covering my nose and mouth, the last I saw was his satisfied smirk as I fell into darkness.
I wiped my head back looking back halting my steps," Is that a chopper?" my words almost a whisper. I could hear the flapping noise made by the wings of the chopper. My feet planted hard on the side of the road, which was sandwiched between thick dark forest. The light from the chopper lighting the dark, I back paddle instinctively not wanting to be caught in the light as if I could outrun it. Raws of two big black SUVs passed through me the moment the light flashed on me from. Too petrified to move, I only turned to my left to the sound of the screeching of tyres as the SUVs swiveled and stopped on its sides in the middle of the road blocking the way. With the chopper still looming above me I gasped in horror as the driver jumped out of the SUV and opened the passenger door, a man dressed sharply in a dark suit stepped out.
The light from the chopper made his face visible to me, he was a stranger to me. He appeared stoic as he held my gaze, sliding his hands in his pockets as he walked casually towards me. I punched the hem of my dress tightly to my right as the flapping of the chopper threatens to display my modesty.
His steps came to a halt as he neared me, this distance allowed me to finally get a clear view of him. He was in every definition what sin was made of, tall, broad shouldered, light subtle covered his chiseled jaw. He loomed over my 5'5, his lips turned slightly in the corner in triumph. A hand slights out from his pocket and brushes the hair away from my face and tucks it behind my ear, a shiver course over my body. He leans towards my ear but no sooner does he do that, I placed my palms on his hard chest and pushed him with all my might, since he was caught off-guard by my sudden move he staggered backwards.
Without giving him another second look I took to the side of the road and sprinted towards the dark forest, finally screaming," Help!" as if help would come. I know in my heart of hearts that he was the man who was involved in my kidnapping, a dangerous man out to get me for only reasons he knows. I mindlessly run through the thick forest adrenaline rushing through my body aiming to escape my captors. I screamed in agony as I sprained my ankle, but the tending can wait, I just need to escape. I hopped no longer able to run with one damaged leg. I could hear leaves rustling because of footsteps, the chopper flapping around the vicinity of where I stood leaning on a thick tree. Tears ran down my cheeks, I looked to my left and right, once certain that I was alone I hopped to the opposite side of where the chopper lights were. Before I could even make a few steps a strong arm lifted me up from the ground from behind, as I screamed he turned my body and pushed me up against a tree, the impact hard I groaned in pain. A dark gaze held my gaze. It was him!
" Time to go home tesoro." he calmly states. I began kicking feebly with my half-pattered legs. It doesn't tither him at all.
"Please, let me go!" my voice is hoarse as I begged attempting to uselessly push away his firm grip over my body.
"Never!" He greets out with determined finality.
More footsteps came to a halt as I began sobbing helplessly.
"Don" a strong voice calls out from behind. This made him release me but only for a brief moment before he drags me away from the tree and pulls my body against his hard chest.
"Do you have it?" he calls out to the man before us, the flash light around us made me see only his silhouette which appeared much taller to me but not as tall as the man who held me which I also assume is the leader of this whole kidnapping ring. The man before us tugged his hands inside his pockets and pulled something out and gave it to the man beside me.
Before I could figure out what it was I felt a thick cloth shoved towards my face covering my face and nose I trashed against his chest feebly. The last words I heard from him were," Sleep well tosoro," and I plunged into darkness horror taking over me.
