As the sun faded away i could feel the temperature spike up to its coolest. The sky began to turn dark and the stars were illuminating the darkness. I layed back on the seat of my truck and opened a can of beer to enjoy the scenery but my eyes caught something falling from the sky in a lightning dash.

'Whoa, what was that?' I sat there rather startled, contemplating on whether i should go check out the crash which wasn't too far from my location. The crash started to cause a large amount of smoke and my curiosity took over.

As i started my engines, i drove to the crash sit immediately hoping to find something interesting enough. Once i was there, i grabbed a flashlight that was at the back of my seat and ventured into the cabin. A small pod layed on the ground and it had a bio hazard sign placed above it.

'Why not check it out..how bad it could be..?' I moved closer to the pod and it opened slowly, thinking it was still safe, i grabbed the handle and tried to open the door.

Dr. Mackintosh P.O.V.

"What if there's a symptomatic..-" I frowned, grabbing the board from her. "No, its absolutely not some housing for patients who look healthy at the Civic Center." I scoffed back, "Your going to break quarantine." She sighed and maintained the eye contact, any doctors were rushing in and out of the place, trying to aid the patients who were infected.Several members of its populace are dying from a mysterious virus.

It seems like this virus was affecting people in different ways such as the skin mutation and wounds that affect the veins causing them to turn black and act just like a zombie. Then my colleague turned her head to the main door causing me to look as well.

"Boyd..?" I whispered in shock as he wore a towel over his back and limped his way inside, he seemed as if he was saying "help". Boyd showed up at the Sierra County Hospital, his body covered in red spikes. The doctor that was with me uttered in shock, "Oh my god.." My nurse stepped forward but i stopped her. His mutations were horrible, something which we've never seen before.

"No! Dont touch him." I yelled at the nurse and she stood beside me. I watched as he groaned and growled to himself in anger. His eyes were shut tightly. As soon as he opened them, he growled at us as his eyes turned crimson red.

_Seven days later_

Third Person P.O.V.

Eliza Cohen(ASH) on the phone: "The national guard is holding position until the army gets here-no worse, bartlet doesn't come close-six cant even say if its terrorism or something else, I've got no operational jurisdiction, get them to let go a little, we're not the enemy here. This isn't terrorism, they still need us. Send thermite, doc and i need one of the Russians, ill explain later and six, send them fast before this all burns down."

The world looked mutated, even if the aliens visited us, they wouldn't even recognized how earth looked like, it seemed as if this was another world we lived in. The sky remained dark and the grounds were sharp and broken apart, cars were overturned and fires remained lit on the houses.

Bodies layed on the ground, most of them were slowly changing into one of them. They all looked different. They preyed on everyone and everything. You could hear the cackling of the monsters on the streets, waiting to come out.

-

Officer: "Goddamn hoss, where'd you pick that relic up?"

Alexander(Tachanka): "Off a load of dead bodies. They all looked surprised."

Jordan(Thermite): "Same joke every goddamn time." He laughed as he walked into the tent in the middle of a conversation.

Eliza: "Sorry- Doc you were saying?" She held her hand up and let him continue.

Gustave(Doc): "The bones got that passive armor at the side on the scheme." He pointed at the screen to be precise.

Jordan: "Jesus.." He sighed loudly as he took a seat.

Gustave: "In other words, it makes monsters." Ash thanked the doctor as she turned around to face the both operators.

Jordan: "Tell me this thing is contained."He crossed his arms sassily.

Eliza: "For now, its adapting faster than we can track. We upped the ordinance, it created this thing."Thermite watched the cameras as the so called, "relic" looked terrifyingly disturbing and dangerous and big.

Jordan: "What happens if it gets loose?" He looked at ash concerned.

Eliza: "Mexico is south of us, The bricks quarantined and if it crosses the borders, the worlds in for a long bad night."

Jordan: He stepped froward towards the screen. "What about nuking the town?"

Alexander: "hah." He snarly laughed.

Jordan: "Wouldn't be the first time using a nuke in mexico!" He smirked.

Eliza: "Its on the table..but we're here to make sure that it stays the last resort, operatives are already on the field." Her voice went rather low.

Jordan: Ash hands him a bunch of files, "These are the hot zones specialists?"

Eliza: "Six has an eye for talent, and we need all the help we can get. This is where we turn the tide, or drown." She looked a thermite dead in the eyes hoping he would understand.
