The Resort

Eliza: "The parasite is building a nursery and its a big one, infections come-" Ash was rudely interupted by thermite.

Jordan: "For Christ sakes!" He cussed angrily.

Eliza: "Jordan?" She frowned on his attitude.

Jordan: "We're good!"

Eliza: "Seriously? briefing is in a minute and your pulling apart the explosives bag?!" She yelled.

Jordan: "Hold your horses Liza, i'm just making sure they got it right." He remarked and continued to fuzz around the table with his explosives.

Eliza: "Nurseries are the heart of the parasites ability to adapt to our containment efforts." Ash mumbled to herself but loud enough for the others to understand as she walked up and down the tent.

Gustave: "That up there is a nasty piece of work"

Eliza: "Your turn?"

Jordan: "Right, the ongoing operations in the area means we cant launch any fire missions or predator strikes, so we're gonna barbecue the nursery with these prototype nano-thermite charges before it goes online. Can i say barbecue? Six wont care, no no, she wont. "

Eliza: She rolled her eyes and got up from the table,"...The 'target', is a hot springs resort."

_MISSION ACTIVE_

Jordan: "Approve and confirm, find those weak points and set the charges. Be prepared for heavy resistance."

This mission , the team enters the confines of Sierra Paradise ruins for a Search and Defend mission. Placing Nano-thermite Charges on the nursery's tendrils, the team defends the charges from incoming Roaches. If it was destroyed, the Charges can be replaced to resume the destruction.

Once done destroying all tendrils, the team receives contact from (Marius)Jäger, who was suddenly struck down.

The team heads towards the wreck of Jäger and his helicopter. His copter had landed in a mechanic's garage, whereas Jäger himself was injured and needs time to pick himself up. In the meanwhile, the team had to defend Jäger from incoming Roaches, including an Apex which was the leader by far.

It wasn't easy but they were trained to go through such a mission. This was what rainbow was also made for. Six which was the leader of the team rainbow was giving in Intel on whether such missions would be accepted to engage in.

But the relics they were encountering was something unprepared for.

Grunts start off "undisturbed" which is when they are most vulnerable. When alerted, they demorph as alien tendrils cover their body, making them hostile and more durable. Grunts specialize in swarming in masses due to their numbers. 

Breachers are highly-volatile enemies that have the ability to blow up walls, even those that are reinforced. 

Rooters are special enemies that teleport in and out of the battlefield as they launch coral spikes for attacking and trapping enemies.

Smashers are large and durable Roaches, having mutated so heavily that they feature an armor-like exoskeleton that is basically impenetrable through normal means. These enemies can charge at a rapid pace but are also blind.

Apexes are the "leaders" of the Roaches, as they are able to call in waves of hostile Grunts and Breachers that are stronger than the normal bunch. 

These were specifically named for their so called, "abilities" that they performed. They definitely weren't the zombies that we knew. They were something else, something terrifying. They were humans just like us before they turned, their families, children, friends are all gone forever.

As Gustave huddled up his group, he began to plant the exothermic charges on the wall and killing the zombies before the destroy the charge. Lion (Oliver)yelled as he turned his EE-One-D drone to highlight the positions of the relics.

Using his V308 gun, he began to kill each and every one of them with the help of his dandy flash bang and his buddy, Finka(Lera), Her Adrenal Surge activates pre-injected nanobots made of zinc in operators, releasing a pharmacological cocktail into their system where the zinc is absorbed as a nutrient. These nanites give her team a short boost in HP, they help allies out of DBNO, and they steady the team's aim.

The infected hostiles outnumber them on every front, and their only way out alive is through innovative tactics that will give them an edge which they were capable of. Our gadgets favor melee combat. The flash bangs will allow for special take down combinations, and smoke grenades will encourage chaos that will thin out the enemies.

As Gustave noticed one of his fellow teammates, Jager injured, He immediately picked him up and carried him to the extraction point. What was he doing there at such a time?

Jordan: "Good work, standby for evac." Gustave could hear the helicopter loud and clear above them, sending a rush of excitement within them rather than lera's boost wearing off.

Alexander: "Why were you at the resort? Having your last break for the year?"

Marius: No you idiot, I was the pilot that went there for an evacuation protocol but it crashed and i couldn't walk with my leg bruised up so i tried to defend myself in there. Don't forget, Im an engineer! Not a medic!"

Alexander rolled his eyes at the often catchphrase he would say even in the normal missions. He was cocky at some times. Such times like these too. He wouldn't lie but alexander knew he was also a cocky bastard.
