{still Harry's pov children}
My heart shattered.
Athena was helplessly lying on a bed covered with her blood.
Her eyes were closed and she was struggling to breathe.
I moved her hair away from her face and her eyes fluttered open.
"Harry?" her voice was low and soft.
"Shh I got you," I answered and picked her up in the most gentle way I could.
Her head rested against my chest and her breathe hitched due to the pain she was going through.
As soon as I left the room Eric was in front of me.
"Not so easily Styles," he said and Athena's grip on me tightened.
"Love I'm gonna put you down for a minute okay?" I gently placed her fragile body down.
I watched as she sat against the wall, curled up.
My blood boiled with anger as I punched Eric.
"How dare you think it's okay to hurt Athena like that?" I screamed and dodged his punch.
"You're gonna die Styles, this is it for you," Eric tackled me and I knocked him out.
I went back to Athena and picked her up.
I carried her out of that place.
No one would even think of hurting her.
"You're fine now, no one is going to hurt you," I whispered and she let out a sigh.
The boys helped us in the car and I perched her on my lap.
"You guys cannot do one thing right," she coughed and pointed to Eric's guards coming out of the house.
I let out a chuckle as we drove away from there.
She rested her head against my chest and I looked down at how relaxed yet in pain she looked.
My hands softly stroked her faded purple hair.
I texted my guards to get purple dye for her cause she told me she was going to colour her hair again.
The guards reached out to take her but I shook my head, leaving the car while holding her close to me.
She whimpered at the sudden movement and I kissed her forehead, calming her down.
"I'm sorry I was late," I apologised and took her to the hospital wing in the warehouse.
Dad and mum were by my side as soon as I entered.
I was bombarded with questions.
"Is she okay?"
"I sent guards to get done with Eric."
"She'll be fine don't worry."
I shut the door as I entered the room and put her down on the bed.
Helen, the head nurse pushed me away and started treating Athena.
I watched Athena as she was plugged to a lot of machines, I don't know what I was feeling at that moment.
Was it love?
"She's fine, don't worry," Helen patted my back and I smiled thankfully in response.
Athena's eyes were closed and her skin looked pale, I pulled a stool and sat near the bed.
Her eyes fluttered open and a soft smile replaced her frown.
"Hey" I sat up straight and pushed my curls back.
She didn't say anything and sat up.
"I hated the past three days," she spoke and I chuckled with a nod.
"They were awful and I'm sorry that I didn't hurry up love," I smiled softly and helped her sit up.
I handed a glass of cool water to her which she quickly drank.
A few minutes later mum barged in and engulfed Athena in a warm hug.
"I'm sorry. This mess wouldn't have happened if Harry hadn't kidnapped you," mum apologized.
"Hey Anne it's okay. I'm fine now huh" Athena flashed one of her infamous smiles causing me to smile.
What am I doing? I'm not capable of love, I need to calm down.
"I'll be back," I grabbed my gun belt and walked out of the room.
If I had stayed for another minute my heart would've made a horrible decision.
I do not want to hurt this girl anymore, she deserves much better.
I'm a terrible person. Mafia aren't capable of loving someone.
"Harry?" Kendall one of the staff people, also my ex approached me.
"I'm sorry all of this happening is terrible," she hugged me.
And I don't know how but I ended up in the bed with a manipulative maniac.
I felt so disgusted with myself. I would never do this to someone.
The only reason I did this was because I couldn't fall for Athena.
Not again, but that's a story for another time.
Dad hated when I fell in love with anyone, he said that's when a person is most vulnerable.
Yes, he did get me married to Athena but that's how I'm the strongest mafia right now.
He has everything planned.
I turned to face Kendall and cringed before rolling out of bed.

Athena's pov
Harry left and didn't return.
Why did I even expect him to stay, he's Harry Styles.
But I was disappointed as well because I hoped he would stay by me while I was in the hospital and care room.
Instead, Niall, Louis, Zayn and Liam stayed.
We joked around a lot and I found out that the boys are good singers.
"You know our school band was called one direction, we were such a hit and Harry was the ladies man and all," Louis laughed at the memories.
"If you don't mind you can answer this but you don't have to. How did that change? How did you go from being the popular band to being popular and scary mafias?" I asked and the boys looked at eachother.
"Robert. He is the reason everything changed. We don't mind though, look at us!" Liam spoke.
"People tremble around us, they even tremble when they hear our names," Niall went on.
"And women beg for our attention. Let's not even start on the money we get," Zayn winked.
"Well. I have nothing to say," I shrugged and looked at Gigi and Eleanor enter the room.
"How are you?" they hugged me lightly.
"Good"
With that the boys left, leaving me with their girlfriends.
We hung out for a while before Helen shooed them away and gave me my meds which caused me to doze off to sleep.
