Ji Min exhaled sharply as he quickly ran into the building. He had slept through his first alarm, causing him to spend the whole morning rushing.
"Thank god Hobi was over to make me breakfast." He mumbled to himself in the elevator.
As he made his way to his desk, Ji Min noticed a light blue envelope taped to his computer monitor. After he clocked in, he opened the letter and began to read it.
Good morning, Park Ji Min!
I hope this note finds you well. I guess you could say that I am your secret admirer. Cliché right? Anyway, I have adored you for a long time, longer than I care to admit. These feelings I have for you fill me completely and I can no longer keep them to myself. I cannot risk telling you who I am, but I still need you to know all of my feelings. If you will allow me, I plan to write you a new letter every day for the next five days. I could honestly spend the next year confessing all that I feel for you, but I feel like five letters should be enough to convey the important parts of what I would like to say.
Before you reject me, I would like to tell you a little about myself. Only a few things, though. I know your brilliant mind could figure me out if I say too much. I am a male between the ages of 20 and 30. You and I work together, but not necessarily in the same department. I have the honor of seeing your beautiful face almost everyday. That's it. If I say anything else, you may get too many ideas. I think you should allow me to keep writing to you. The way I see it you can't lose. Even if my words mean nothing to you, at least you will receive praise from someone who is not obligated to give it. Also, my letters may be the source of some entertainment for you and your friends.
Either way, I hope to bring that breathtaking smile to you face with what I have to say. If you don't want me to write you, leave a note on your monitor when you leave for the day. Hopefully, I will not see a letter from you. I wish to bring light to your day with these ramblings so that I might repay you for some of the light you give to my life.
Sincerely yours,
G
Ji Min's eyes grew wide as he read. He was unsure of what to think or how to feel. Sure it was flattering, but it was also kind of creepy. A voice brought him out of his thoughts, asking about the flight schedules for the CEO. Ji Min put the letter down and decided to handle it later. He had so much work to do. He is an Administrative Coordinator for an office that employs over 200 people. The title Administrative Coordinator was just a fancy way to say half receptionist, half personal assistant, but he liked it. It made him feel important.
When he finally finished organising last year's client files, booking the CEO's flights, arranging a meeting with all of the managers from each department, and ordering the catering for a work luncheon, it was time for lunch. Ji Min rushed to the break room and secured a table for him and his two friends. Jeong Guk was the first to arrive, flashing Ji Min a cute bunny smile as he sat down. Ji Min smiled brightly as he approached.
"Hey, Jeonggukie. How are you?"
"I'm good. How about you?"
"I'm a little confused, but I'll tell you about it when Yun Ki gets here."
They made small talk as they waited for their other friend. A few minutes later, Yun Ki arrived with food. The three friends took turns cooking lunch for the group. I was a tradition that Ji Min and Jeong Guk started when they were in high school. When Yun Ki started working with them, just a few days ago, he joined in too. Jeong Guk and Ji Min thanked the older for the food and began to happily eat the lettuce wraps.
