In the eyes of the Ocean

What once was known for being one of the most perfect, beautiful place on earth is now a dump.

All creatures inside suffer, they suffer because your humankind was not so kind to us.

We have to swim through all kind of plastic bags, risking to get stuck in them and not being able to swim; ever again.

We have to dig ourselves in, not in sand, but in plastic dops, metal, and all kind of material that your kind has thrown into our beautiful sanctuary.

Over the years, we have seen huge plastic islands appear.

But is it going to stay that way, with only those that are now?

We suspect not.

We think more will come because of humanity's stupidity.

But even more important, the others that have been suffering because of this.

Not only we, the inhabitants of the ocean, have been suffering.

The ones in the sky are also at risk.

The ones at land are at risk.

Because they feed from our kind, and what we bring forth.

Because they drink from our habitat.

They get what we get.

Plastic.

So this joke is on you, humankind, because you will be infected as well.

You had the chance to change it.

You still have.

But most of you will not change anything at all.

But do remember.

After all of us, it is your turn.

You did this yourselves.

 Your ruined our planet, our oceans and our bright future.
