I watched as the snowflakes fell from the grey skies, memories flooding through my mind as the small specks fell.

I hadn't seen him in almost three years and to say I was nervous was an understatement.

"I'll always love you" his words stuck to me like acrylic paint on a cotton shirt.

The day him and his friends left was the day my heart was torn into pieces, regret had stayed with me for the past few years.

I remember the day very specifically.

"Look at me...please" he begged as I looked out the window trying to avoid him in this small bedroom.

"You don't have to go" I croaked quietly.

"Please don't...you know I don't want to but I don't have a choice" his jaw stiffened.

"You do have a choice Luke, you can choose me" I said as the tears welled up in my eyes.

"God don't cry" he said as he stalked across the room and sat across from me placing his rough hand on my thigh.

Four of my best friends had been wanting to move to Australia for Uni and when the day came it tore my heart to shreds because I wasn't only loosing them I was loosing the boy that I had fallen in love with.

"LUKE COME ON MAN, WERE GONNA MISS OUT FLIGHT" Callum yelled from downstairs.

"I'll call you when we land" he said with a sad smile.

I watched as he stood up and leaned over me, he lifted my chin to force me to look at him, his blazing eyes staring into mine.

"Don't bother" I said the tears still falling down my cheeks.

"What do you mean" he frowned.

"I'm not going to sit here and wait for the next three years to wait for you, it's not fair on me or you" I said shaking my head.

"So this is it then..." he asked me slowly nodding in response.

"Guess so" I replied barley a whisper.

Alright then" he said as he gave me a small kiss on my lips before walking toward the door.

"I'll always love you" he said as he took one last look at me before walking downstairs, my heart going with him.

I guess life can be like that sometimes, cruel and absolutely shattering.

I hadn't spoken to him in those three years, not a single message, phone call, email or anything along those lines.

I was dragged out of my thoughts by a sleek black car pulling up out the front of me and Kelsey's apartment.

All four doors opened, the first mop of hair that I saw was Michaels, blonde this time.

I smiled as I watched all of them hop out of the car one by one.

I heard Kelsey sprint out of her room and practically jump down the stairs flinging the front door open and running toward Ashton her long time boyfriend.

"Baby" he shouted as she threw herself into his arms.

My heart ached, that should have been me and Luke.
