Donghyuck laid on his bed while staring at Mark's pencil on his hand. It had peeled off designs of the powerpuff girls on it. Donghyuck smiled sadly slightly at it.

There was no doubt the younger liked the latter. Maybe even loved. Although he knew he had zero chance with him. Mark was straight. Right?

Donghyuck sighed as he put the pencil down carefully on his bedside table. He then picked up his phone and tapped on Mark's contact. His dainty fingers hovered over the familiar phone icon, debating if he should call him. Was Mark really sick and tired of me? Donghyuck thought. He decided to give it one last try.

One ring.

Two rings.

Three rings.

Four rings.

Five rings.

'Ah... he's not picking up...' Donghyuck thought sadly before putting his thumb over the red button.

Just as his thumb lingered over the button, he heard a groan.

"What do you want now, Donghyuck? Why do you always call me in the middle of the night?" Mark groaned over the phone.

'Because I stay up all night thinking about you...' Donghyuck thought to himself.

"Nothing much... I just wanted to say goodnight..." Donghyuck whispered while smiling.

"Fuck, why are you so annoying? Is this what you do for a living?" He heard Mark's annoyed voice over the line. Donghyuck's smile faltered.

"Sorry..." Donghyuck's eyes were suddenly brimmed with tears.

Mark's right. Why was he being so annoying? Maybe that's why Mark always avoid the younger at all cost.

Suddenly, Donghyuck accidentally let out a soft sob. He stiffened. Hoping Mark wouldn't hear that.

"Donghyuck?"

"Yeah?"

"Are you crying?" Shit. Donghyuck slapped a hand over his mouth.

Donghyuck shook his head, then realising Mark couldn't see him so he let out a quick 'no' before moving his thumb over the red button.

"You're such a crybaby, hyuck." He heard Mark sigh over the phone. Which made Donghyuck let out his tears.

"I'm sorry for being annoying, Mark..." Donghyuck sobbed softly, tired out from the embarrassing situation.

"..."

"..."

"Hyuck?" Mark's whisper couldn't be heard as the Korean had fallen asleep with stray tears down his cheeks.

"I'm sorry, hyuck. Don't cry anymore. Goodnight, angel." Mark softly said before ending the call.
