Shiori, Bakugo, Kirishima and Kaminari were walking down the hallway, making their way to the 1-A classroom.

The three boys were throwing pencils at the school ceiling, to see who could get them stuck up there first.

"Guys." said Shiori, who was walking behind them.

They continued throwing the pencils.

"Guys." she repeated. "GUYS, STOP THAT YOU'RE GONNA TAKE OUT A LIGHT!"

As if on queue, one of the hallway bulbs made a popping noise and went out.

"Oops." said Kaminari.

"Ugh." Shiori facepalmed. "Let's go before someone follows that damn pencil trail."

"Morning." said Aizawa, as he entered the 1-A classroom.

"Good morning!" replied the class.

"We're having a special hero informatics class today: Code names - you'll be coming up with hero names."

"Yes! Finally!" said Kaminari. "I've known mine since I was five."

"This is so exciting!" said Mina.

"Silence, everyone." continued Aizawa. "This is related to the pro hero draft picks I mentioned the other day. The drafts begin in earnest in the second and third years, after the students have gained experience and can become immediate assets to the pros. In other words, for them to extend offers to first years like you, shows that they are interested in your future potential. These offers are often cancelled if that interest dies down by graduation."

"So we'll have to prove ourselves once we get picked, huh?" asked Hagakure.

"That's right. And here are the totals for those with offers."

Aizawa then clicked a button on his remote and the number of offers became displayed on the board. Bakugo and Todoroki were thousands of offers above everyone else.

"In other years, it's been more spread out, but all eyes were on these two this year." said Aizawa, pointing to the board.

"Gah, there's such a big difference!" complained Kaminari.

"The pros don't know a good thing when they see one." said Aoyama.

"Todoroki's first, Bakugo's second...?" said Kyoka.

"It's the opposite of their placement in the sports festival." added Kirishima.

"Some people are too scared to ask for a guy when he had to be restrained on the podium." said Sero.

"WHAT'RE THE PROS SCARED OF?!" screamed Bakugo, turning to face Sero.

"Keeping those results in mind, whether or not anyone asked for you, you will all be participating in internships with pros." explained Aizawa. "The hero names you choose today are still temporary, but if you're not serious about it..."

Before Aizawa could finish his thought, the classroom door slammed open, to reveal Midnight.

"...you'll have hell to pay later!" she said, enthusiastically. "Because a lot of hero names used by students become recognized by society, and they end up becoming professional hero names!" continued Midnight.

"Well, that's how it is." said Aizawa. "So Midnight will be making sure your names are okay."

Midnight handed out boards for the students to write their chosen code names on, while Aizawa zipped up his sleeping bag and slept in the corner of the room like a giant yellow worm.
