The Forging Of Fire

Why did it have to be Ninjas!?!

As pizza roll and I are riding along I notice wires hanging between the trees and little wood dear scares hanging on them; it has about reached dusk at this point, so we decided to stop for the night. The forest is so dark at night but passes the trees I think I see someone, but then they're gone. And I eventually fall to sleep, but I keep waking up in the sound of the wind shaking the deer scares. I wake up at dawn and decide to take a bath. I seem to be the only one awake, so I head to the stream we stopped near, leaving my robe nearby but not taking off my ring. As I bathe myself, I hear a rustling of the trees however the dear scares don't go off, and I thought I must be going crazy.  Just as I turn my back to the tree, a dagger come Soaring passed my head and strikes the rock in front of me, "Who goes there," I exclaim in shock summoning a shield made of fire, "if you show your face now I won't kill you."

During the reply, I watch back up the hill put on my robe wake up Pizza roll and finally noticed that the final three guards throats are slit "What the fuck!?!?" I exclaim Rushing to my horse "We have to get out of here pizza roll."

"I know that. Why did we stop here I heard tell of a ninja clan living  here so why didn't I trust it?"

"Anyway, let's ride!!!!!"

While we are riding along, I see a village ahead. "There turn in there!!" shout to pizza roll as I turn towards the town.

As we rushed past every small home, I noticed the smaller humanoid figure running along with us only they're on the rooftops, and somehow they're keeping up with us, and we are on the horses. "How are they keeping up with us we should be running at upwards of 65 kilometers an hour?" I exclaim

"Why are you asking me that?" Pizza roll exclaims

"Well help me do..." I try to get out before a dagger sinks into my horse's neck throwing me off of it, while I'm in the air I throw my wings out as quickly as possible. "Pizza roll go as fast as you can!!!!!!"

"Already on it." She exclaims heading for what looks like the Chief's home

"Your fight is with me to come down here and face me like the person you are," I say landing and stand to face directly at them. I have been storing power in my ring (to see how much it can hold and to see if it can be used to focus my attacks more (it had worked plenty of times on a small scale))for days now and this seemed like the perfect opportunity to try it. Not two seconds after I told them to come and face me they stood directly in front of me preparing to fight me.

"This is a courtesy extended to all those I'm tasked with fighting because you won't make it out of this life. My name is Natsuko Maine, and I am to be the next chief of this village." He said

[Pizza rolls point of view]

As I'm running through the village, I finally reach the Chiefs home and burst straight through the door with my horse. "Shit!" I exclaim falling off my horse and through another door and land at the feet of the chief "oh thank God you're still here. My partner got ambushed by someone from your village he's currently confronting them you have to go stop them!"

"I think it would be my son and there's no stopping him until he is incapacitated or your friend is dead." The chief replied in a low, hushed voice.

"Well, then we need to help my friend."

"I'm afraid we can't do that, I'm not certain that my son will not hold back."

"I have to go help my friend if you won't help me I'll do it myself."

"I'm sorry about this." He says picking me up by my arms

"Let go of me you bitch." I say looking out the window facing the battle "Holy shit I need to help him." I say allowing my rage to boil over.

[Vidus's pov]

"...And I will be the next chief of this village." He said drawing a small blade from his back. Glancing to his had I see a jade ring on his right middle finger.

"The ring on his middle finger, it creates a venom and controls it doesn't let his blades graze you." Said a seemingly disembodied voice.

"Who said that?" I said ducking as he throws a knife at me

"Now isn't the time for that," the voice said again, "now is the time to fight. Don't hold back."

"Alright," I said resolved to finish this as quickly as possible

"Accessing bloodstream, converting internal body lacing, converting bloodstream, increase blood flow, deactivating inhibitors." The voice said again

"What are you doing to my body??" I say in a sudden burst of speed and fire

"Helping you win, also don't damage his ring."

"Got it!" I said a release in a burst of power sending me toward Natsuko

In a blinding flash of strength, I punch the ground and get flung up like I was paper. Flipping over in midair I focus my power down at him where he currently sits throwing daggers and bombs at me, and I release the energy built up in the ring. The next few moments are a blinding flash as I release control of the flame and see him do the same on a microscopic scale and while I'm falling I feel the sensation of a small cut form on my left cheek. As I land I rush to identify his body, he seemed to be out of commission. I rip the ring off of his hand and place on my left hand's middle finger.

"Greetings I am the spirit of the ring of venom I see that the ring of fire has joined your side and that you have been poisoned, please wait a moment," Said a near identical voice to the previous one, "Calibration complete, flushing poison form your system." I collapse knowing my job was done, then the vomiting started.
