Chapter One: Thugs n Games
Keisha
Esten Mill High school is a ghetto black-based school. It is known to be one of the most urban schools in Atlanta- and I gotta admit, this place changed me. I became more hard, and self-reserved. I learned how to stand up for myself, I use to be a scary wimp. Now, I'd gladly beat a bitch ass I feel the need to. I was the type of girl that let everything slide. Me, having three siblings, I learned one thing: No more hiding behind your brother and sisters.
I hate mondays, I swear.
But I knew today was going to be an interesting day.
My boyfriend, Jackson Bynam, went though my phone last night and found out his homeboy De'Shawn, be all in my messages. That boy always flirt with me, and that pissed him off. I barely pay De'Shawn any mind, especially since he's dating one of my friends, Na'Ryan.
"Jackson chill."
"Nah, this dog ass nigga call himself my homie but can't stop fuckin with my girl." Jackson yelled. His voice roared from down the hall. I followed the sound of his voice.
Yup, they're at it again.
"Naw brudda, I ain't do nothin this time." DeShawn said with an innocent face.
"Nigga, for one you not a good liar, that you ain't. Two, I seen what you be sending her." Jackson yelled. "Recipts, messages and all that."
"I told lil shorty I luh her, but in a brotherly way. I gave lil shorty a hug, ain't like I smacked her on the booty or nothin my nig." De'Shawn said putting his hands up playfully. Even when Jackson up in his face, De'Shawn is never serious.
They was drawing a crowd, in the middle of the hallway. People hype, waiting for a fight to pop off. They slick looking at me too, because they already know Jackson and De'Shawn fighting over me again. They're both tall, built and light skin. De'Shawn is slightly leaner than Jackson, but he can still fight.
"I don't give a fuck text her again and we gon' have a problem."
"Nah, seem to me Jackson we already got a problem foo. You not tryin to fix it tho, scary ass nigga."
Jackson popped off first, and ended up shoving DeShawn back into one of the lockers. DeShawn pulled up quickly and they both started throwing punches. The whole crowd started yelling, taking out their phones and recording the fight. I went through the crowd and grabbed Jackson's arm and tried to pull him back from fighting.
"Stop fightingggg." I pleaded. Jackson snatched his arms out of my hands and continued fighting De'Shawn.
Little 5 foot me can't break up a fight between two tall, strong ass niggas so I stopped trying to be the peacemaker. Moments later, some of their home boys jumped in to break them up.
"Chill out yo. Ya always fighting. Shit ain't cute." Said Apollo.
Apollo is like a brother to me, since he date my bestfriend Janelle. Apollo is light skin, and mixed with Mexican and black. He has a thick Hispanic accent that never goes away.
Apollo grabbed onto Jackson and pulled him back, while their other homie,Pierce, was holding De'Shawn back. Pierce is my boy bestfriend, he's tall, dark skin and charming.
"Get the fuck off me!" Yelled De'Shawn.
"Bruh calm down, yall suppose to be homies but ya niggas acting like ops, chill, seriously." Pierce said letting go of DeShawn. De'Shawn stood still, huffing and puffing.
"This y'all sixth fight and yea I'm counting. Yall fight again I'ma rock both of y'all shit." Apollo said letting go of Jackson, Jackson got ahold of his anger.
