"Where am I?"
When I open my eyes, what I saw was not my room's ceiling. It was white. I can tell it is made with wood. A white wooden ceiling beckoned me. I am not at home.
I deliberately got up and found myself lying in a bed. The blankets are white. The pillows are white. I bet the foam is white too!
"Up already? Hi, how are you feeling?" I turned to look at the woman covered in white. I guess that's what we all call a labcoat. Why am I here? Why am I with her.
"Let see, uhm...What was your name again?" She asked.
Oh, right.
"Charlotte. Charlotte Ice Lumier." I answered. She went for the shelves, probably looking for some files about me. Well, I'm used to it.
"Are you perhaphs new here? I haven't heard of your name yet." She replied. I smiled as an answer. I actually don't need to answer that question. Even if I did, they'll probably ask again. It is too much troublesome.
"May I ask how did I end up lying here in one of your beds?" First things first, gotta find out how did I end up here, where in the world am I, and go straight home. "Well, Miss...uh—"
"Charlotte."
"Yes, Miss Charlotte, it seems you fell down stairs in your school. Somebody must've pushed you. Are you bullied in your school?" I just simply shooked my head. "I must have probably slipped." I answered and smiled shyly. As if I did.
Normal people can't see them. They can only feel them...
"May I ask which clinic is this?" She gave me a map and once again asked for my name. And as always, I would answer them but they'll probably forget again.
I left the area as soon as possible.
If I was lying in a clinic, that could only mean that that thing is still there.
"Syntax, can you hear me?" There was silence until a crashing sound came into my ear. "Argh!" I complained as I held on to my left ear. It sounded like a radio losing its signal."How many times do I have to tell you to be careful!" I slightly whimpered when I heard her voice screaming right from my earpiece. "Careful you say? Look who's trying to damage someone's ear." I answered in a cold tone.
"This and that are two different things!" Yeah, yeah. Whatever. I rolled my eyes and hailed a cab. I ordered the driver to bring me to Herrington University, where I accidentally slipped. Or so I said so at the clinic.
"Here is the fare." I told the driver and handed over the money. I got off from the cab and pressed the button on my shirt.
"I'm so gonna finish that thing!"
