Ice's POV:
Breathe in...
Breath out...
"Uh? What are ya doing?" I gave her a cold glare which made her placed her hands up like getting caught by the cops. "Sorry ok? It's just that I wanna ask you if are you ok? You look terrible." I looked for my phone in may bag but shet! I left it at home. "Wanna use me as a mirror?" Syntax offered and I nodded in reply. She made herself somewhat like a mirror. I don't how exactly it is called but it made me see my reflection.
I look like a mess. Like shit is far more better to look at. "Seriously now?" I asked as I fixed myself up to look a bit more presentable. I swear the wind did this on purpose.
Here I am standing right in front of the Academy's Gates. I feel like my body is nailed to where it is standing. Not even a single muscle is willing to move. Ahh...
I want to go home.
That's right, I wanna go home so badly that even my brain isn't responding on what I should do. Should I enter or not enter? If I don't what would I say to my parents? Make myself sick by magic and use it as an excuse!? AS IF! Can't even use magic yet.
People are probably staring at me as to why I'm only standing outside. CRAZY PERSON ALERT! "Hey!" I perked up when I heard someone scream. I look around and saw this small kid. He is tiny and is standing in front of me like I'm some giant barricade. I feel like I'm the tallest person when he's right there.
"Can you move?" He said in an arrogant voice. I quickly move away to give him some space. "Sorry." I apologized but he just ignored me.
"Ok...I guess I should go home." That child just treated me like I'm some trash. GOSH! What if the others are like that?! And wait! This is a school for teenagers, what's a kid doing here?! He went in right?
"Hold your horses! We are going inside." Syntax declared and made a pose like she's going to war. "What? You saw that didn't you? I don't think I can handle people like them." I complained trying to disagree with what she just said. "Oh, nonono! We are going, that's what I said." Before I could even say a word, Syntax went ahead of me already.
"Hey! I'm the Master here. Not you!" I shouted as I try my best to catch up with her. She floats so fast! Geez. "Syntax! Wait up! Hey!" I found myself running towards her and before I knew it, I was right inside the Academy. The hell with you, Syntax.
....
Syntax's POV:
That kid was kinda arrogant! How dare he speaks like that to my Miss! Doesn't he know the Lumier Household is one of the strongest families in the world. Miss on the other hand is so...Lame. She lacks confident in approaching people like them. Ugh!
"Hey, wait up I said!" I heard her screaming behind me. I stopped and faced her, she's all sweaty. "Did you bring your handkerchief with you?" I asked. Well it was my fault since I didn't wait and all but that was the only way to get her inside. "No, but a towel is." She answered. She opened up her bag and took a towel to wipe her sweat.
"That was a kid before wasn't it?" She asked me. "Yeah, it was I think. What about it?" I asked back at her. It took her a few seconds to answer me, probably thinking what to say next. "Why is a kid here?" she finally answered. Well don't she dare ask me, I don't even know. I just shrugged my shoulders as a reply and we continued to walk.
"Winston Academy. An academy for hunters and huntresses huh, but why a kid?" She mumbled but I heard her loud and clear. "Maybe a prodigy?" I answered in a question that made her look at me. "What?" I asked. "There are prodigies here?!" She asked in huge surprise. "Of course there are, why wouldn't there be none? This school is open for all the hunters and huntresses, though there is a tuition fee." I replied in full confidence.
"Right???" I chuckled in her reaction. The miss can be cute sometimes. But all the time a huge klutz. "So basically, there are kids who are far more better than me?" Ugh! I know where this conversation is heading off to. "What the hell am I doing all this years? I'm just gonna shame myself here." She's off to degrading herself mode now, huh.
"Well at least you're working hard more than anyone else here." I said trying to lighten up the mood. I don't wanna get frozen. Her magic acts up whenever she get depressed or anything. She herself wouldn't even know.
"How could you even know that I'm the most hardworking person here?" She asked, well.. "That's cause I've been with you since you were just inside your mother's belly?" I answered. She just stared at me like I'm some idiot. HEY! Yo momma made me the smartest A.I ya know! "How's that even an answer to my question Syntax." She said as she let out a sigh of disappointment.
Hey! I'm trying here, ok?
Up a ahead is the dormitory for the females. Right, Winston Academy is a Dormitory school, where the males and the females are separated and can only be together when there are competitions which are held every after 3 months. They will all gather at their huge gym-like area, an arena I think? There, they'll held the battles/competitions that the students signed up for. That'll only be the place where both men and women can be found together, anywhere else would be a big no no.
Students are not allowed to hang out with the opposite sex, that's the rule here. Well so much for the man of my Miss' dreams. Wait, she doesn't even care either anyways. That's her.
"Syntax, look." I followed the area where she is pointing at and in to my surprise I quickly covered Ice's eyes. "You are too young for that." I explained and added more opacity to my body to lessen my transparency or better to block her view.
"They were both girls, weren't they?" She asked with her mouth covered by her hands. "This is somewhat the disadvantage when you enter an all girls school." I said with matching disappointment in my tone. "Scary." She said and went through me. She didn't took another glance to the two girls and went ahead searching for her room.
I guess sending her to school was a bad idea.
