CHAPTER 4

Eight years later.....

The meeting with the werewolf king and his court is very important to Jayden and his team. They have been working on this research for a long time. Jayden's parent has been funding him privately but Jayden knows to get result quickly and not to milk his parent dry he needs another source of fund.

His father Jordyn used his connection in the court to get him this meeting and he knows everything is riding on how well he can convince them on his research, being a submissive without a wolf has always proved to be hard for him in the werewolf community but his parent let him know just because he has no wolf does not serve as a limitation.

it's just something he has to overcome to achieve his goals. His father made sure for Jayden to compensate with other physical activities to protect himself. Werewolf community is a very harsh place where hierarchy is everything and a werewolf without a wolf is looked down upon but thank goddess Jayden made up for it with his smartness.

"Are you nervous boss?" his assistant question brought him out of his musing.

"Just a little I can't afford to mess this up everything is riding on this we need more specimen and we are almost at breakthrough," Jayden answered his assistant.

"You are the smartest person I know,  you will be fine and if you mess up just show them your dazzling and charming smile, Goddess that smile can brighten anyone's day". Jayden assistant said with conviction and a smile.

Jayden knows she's trying to make him less nervous, and he appreciates her for that "thanks Kayla I really appreciate your unwavering belief and support even times when we hit a roadblock your optimism keeps me going".

"I am just speaking the truth and moreover why won't I believe in you, you're the reason I have this job and made me believe just because I was born submissive does not make me useless it's the least I could do," Kayla said truthfully.

Jayden could see the looming palace from kilometers away words can't describe or do the beauty of this palace justice. The palace is a symbol of power for the royal family. Its home to the royal family and some nobles is so big some might not even cross path in the palace. 

 The palace with its lavish gardens and fountain is a spectacular sight to behold. Jayden has only been to the palace once when he escorted his father even then he only stayed at the office of works and welfare and it was grand and that was still far to where the royal family lives.

"Wow, this is beautiful the picture don't do it justice" said Kayla amazed by the size and beauty. Jordan nodded knowing how she feels "wait till you see the garden around the royal court".

Security is tight since this is where the royal family lives so Jordan wasn't surprised when they were stopped at least four times for a security check before getting to the royal court. He's heard news of how the royal family are targeted by rouges and mercenary even if they are the most powerful wolves they still need protection.

Jayden and Kayla made their way to the royal court office to make their presence known and to confirm their appointment.

"Good day sir, I am Jayden Morris from silver pack I have an appointment to appear before the court". The assistant smiled professionally and checked his log book to confirm Jayden statement immediately he saw his name he asked them to take a seat and he will call for them when it's their turn.

Jayden only had to wait for thirty minutes before it was his turn during that time he prepped himself and with encouragement from his devoted assistant he was ready but nothing prepared him for what he saw it's a full house the king and the crown prince and all their nobles.
