The chat I had with Roger stuck in my mind all through the night. I didn't get a wink of sleep because of it. I've known him for less than a week yet I felt completely comfortable telling him my deepest secret. I don't know what it is about him, but I feel at ease around him. I can't let myself get attached, I know that. He's a rock star, he goes through hundreds of girls in a week, it's not like I'm any exception. I'd just be a quick shag to him, nothing more.

However, knowing that I'm already in danger of becoming far too attached, here I sit with my head resting on his shoulder as I drift in and out of sleep. Brian and John are sat on the other sofa, chatting away to each other while we all wait for Freddie to arrive. Apparently, they want me to listen to their new song and there was no way in hell I was going to decline that offer, no matter how tired I am.

"Sorry, darlings, I slept in." Freddie announces, swinging the studio door open dramatically. I jump in fright, earning howls of laughter from all four boys. "I'm sorry, my dear, I didn't mean to startle you. Are you okay?"

"It's alright, Freds, I just didn't sleep well."

"And these horrors have dragged you out of bed? Despicable."

With a small chuckle, I lean back into the sofa and watch as John prepares to play me the song. They haven't told me too many details about the song, just that it's called Bohemian Rhapsody. I heard Roger recording a couple of the vocals the other day but I'm quite excited to hear the final product. John glances over his shoulder and gives us a quick nod before pressing play. As soon as the song starts playing, I can't resist the huge smile on my face.

I can feel all four pairs of eyes burning into me to watch my reaction to the song but I ignore it, too engrossed in the music to notice it too much. It's incredible; possibly one of the best, if not the best song I've ever heard. There's absolutely no denying that this is a masterpiece. This song is going to make Queen's career, I can already tell. They're already doing so well but this is going to catapult them into a new level of fame.

"What did you think?" Freddie urges as the song comes to an end. I don't even know how to answer that question.

"Debbie, you're killing us here." John adds nervously.

"I'm speechless." I eventually manage to choke out, a little emotional. Some might say I'm being over-dramatic but this is my favourite band and they just asked for my opinion on a new song which I guarantee will be the biggest song of their career. Nothing else to come in my life can beat this moment.

"Good speechless or bad speechless?"

"Good. Really fucking good, Freddie, this is incredible. You guys did such a good job!" Immediately, the atmosphere changes in the room as if a weight has been lifted off each of their shoulders. "This deserves a celebration. I'll meet you in the pool in five minutes."

While the boys get changed into their swimwear, I head back to the house to pick up some drinks and also get changed to go in the pool. Changing into my favourite bikini, I pull on a pair of shorts over the top so I'm slightly more covered up. Flora and Kenneth are both out doing work around the farm so I can take a few drinks, no questions asked. When I finally get there, Brian, John and Freddie are already in the water while Roger is laying back on the sunbed in full clothing, smoking a cigarette.

"Are you not going in?" I ask, taking a seat on the sunbed next to him. He glances up and shrugs, too busy attempting to do smoke tricks to answer me. "Beer?"

"Absolutely." With a small chuckle, I open the bottle for him and place him on the table next to him. "So, you liked the song?"

"Roger, it was amazing. I had such high expectations but you genuinely blew me away, you did such a good job." He looks down with a smile, taking a sip of his drink. The two of us sit for a while, doing nothing but drinking and smoking in silence while the other three splash about in the pool. Once I've taken note of the fact that Roger and I have nearly gone through a full pack of cigarettes, I decide that we should probably stop and do something else. "You're really not going in?"
