"here." i insisted. sungjae looks at me weirdly as we sat in our newlywed house. "what is this?" he stares at the light blue box, tied around the top was a white ribbon. my face bursts in red.
our story is as though we were the personified version of the word shoujo. we hated each other in high school and here we are... married. now i knew everything about him, we're very much in love. but if i could go back in time before i had made this thing for him, i'd probably ask if he actually liked sweaters..
"j-just take it!!" i dropped the box on his lap and looked away. he takes a look at it thoroughly and i start to hear rummaging. the top is off because i see it placed on the coffee table in front of us.
"a.. sweater?" he picks it up. "yes!" i bluntly responded, gripping my hands on my knees, avoiding eye contact.
he chuckles.
"ahh, what's so funny?! actually i knew you were going to laugh! i.. it's really, really hot in here, i'm going to open a window- i'll cook now too!" i was abruptly stopped from getting up as he held onto my wrist, he pulls me in for a tight hug. i wanted to cry, i was embarrassed but also really happy. "does that mean you like it?"
he chuckles again.
"answer me!" i pout. he pulls back from the hug, planting a kiss on my forehead. "of course, joy. i would love for you to knit things for me, everyday." he looks me in my eyes.
i think i just fell in love all over again.
