jungkook didn't mean for it to happen like this. it all happened so fast. like falling asleep when you lay down. he was lying there, his eyes resting, and next he was tumbling through the endless world of dreams. he reached a fork in the road, and instead of choosing a path, he sat in the middle and woke back up.

"jungkook! wake up, we're gonna be late!" the call of his lover woke him. he opened bleary eyes, the luminescence of the light hurt his tired eyes. he sat up, his head going dizzy. yoongi was right, they were going was going to be late. but what's that matter when you're in a dream world. but he had been woken up, no longer in that world of two lives, faced with harsh reality. what jungkook would do to love endlessly in a world of the things he wanted, and nothing to reprimand him for his sins. what he wouldn't give to live forever in his head, where he controlled the outcomes, the consequences, the world, his world. but where is the risk? the reward? the thrill? that's the only thing that kept jungkook coming back from his long naps. reality brought thrill and thrill brought risk and reward.

jungkook got off of the couch, running a hand through his disheveled hair and scratching his stomach.

"what're you in a rush for, love? we still have a while" jungkook murmured burrowing his neck into yoongi's shoulder. yoongi shoved him off, scoffing.

"you promised you'd come to the dinner with me! to see my parents, remember?" jungkook had remembered, just had dreaded it. the min's were a nice family, considerably so at least. jungkook liked them, but not loved. they were too mundane for his taste in people. but he loved yoongi, and did promise. so he let go of yoongi reluctantly. he went back to their room, feet dragging to the leftover beat in his head. he could hear yoongi putting on his dressing shoes and grabbing the keys. jungkook loved yoongi, he did. but, yoongi was not enough at times. jungkook kept humming, the beat of a song he once heard running through his head. he changed shirts to a clean white button down, messing with his hair in the mirror. flashing that charming smile of his as he left the room.

"there you are, let's go."

"aw come on, i wasn't too long" he said haughtily, giving yoongi a quick kiss on the cheek before he could get out the door.

"you're lucky i love you dumbass."

"i sure am."

and with that they were out the door. the trek to the fancy restaurant a couple blocks down had started. jungkook was starting to dread the time this was going to take, but he was willing to do it. his love for yoongi was immense. he wanted to spend the rest of time with him. but yoongi was not his most perfect man.
