'the moon looks bright tonight' he would say
with the signature stardust smile of his i so adored
and as i looked up,
to the heavens that dusted our eyes
with billions of twinkling little trinkets
and i realized
why look at the stars on top of me
when i could look at one that was closer
a star who has the galaxy at his fingertips
a star who can light my dim path up
a star whose fascination was set to the moon
'moon boy' i would call him
for he is unlike any other boy i have seen
for he was like the moon
not a star anymore, but the moon
for he lights up your night,
dispers the darkness away,
pulls and pushes the tides back and forth,
and for you shall only see him shine once.
