👶9 - Sick

(Morning after the swimming pool visit)

Yoongi woke up with weird feeling. He is too hot and sticky with sweet. What is happening? Yoongi whined and feels that his head is throbbing. Pressure inside his head is growing bigger and bigger and Yoongi can't take it anymore. He starts to wail loudly and through his tears sees appa standing above his crib with concerned expression.

"What is wrong kitten?"

Jungkook carefully lifted him and frowned because of heat coming from Yoongi's small body. Jungkook bounced him on his hip and goes to find Jimin. He found Jimin cooking breakfast in the kitchen.

"Jimin, something is wrong with our kitten."

Jimin immediately turned off the cooker and takes Yoongi in his arms.

"Baby you aren't feeling well? What is bothering my little baby?"

Jimin sees that Yoongi is pressing his palms over his ears and senses that maybe the problem is here. He isn't a doctor and has no idea what could be wrong with Yoongi's ears, so he packed a diaper bag and dressed Yoongi in warm pram suit and padded coat. He put baby bonnet on Yoongi's head and tied it under his chin, so his ears are warm. Then they head to hospital where Namjoon works. Soon they are getting out of their car and Jungkook laid Yoongi in the stroller. Jimin starts to push the stroller with Yoongi and feels tears in his eyes. He isn't good daddy. His baby got sick again and it is his fault, he did something wrong. They wait for Namjoon who came as soon as possible. He immediately lifted Yoongi and starts to examine him. After while Namjoon sighed and told Jungkook to dress the baby again.

"He has ear infection."

Jimin sobs because Yoongi is really sick, he was hoping that it is nothing serious. Namjoon writes a prescription for ear drops and they can leave. Right after coming home Jimin takes the ear drops and starts to read how to apply it. Jungkook changed Yoongi's clothes and then handed him to Jimin.

"You are going to hate daddy for this."

Jimin laid Yoongi on a fluffy carpet in the living room and tilted his head to side. He carefully put the applicator of the drops in his ear who immediately started to scream.

"Shh it is going to be over soon."

Jungkook holds Yoongi's hands and Jimin applicated the drops in Yoongi's second ear. The baby is crying and feels nauseous. Jungkook lifted Yoongi and gently bounces him on his hip. Big tears are rolling down from Yoongi's sugar white cheeks and Jimin is almost crying too. Jimin laid Yoongi on their bed on pristine thick blanket. Jimin put Yoongi's hands by his side and brought edges of the blanket around and tucked them underneath. Then he lifted bottom of the blanket upwards so Yoongi's legs are out like a frog's. Jimin finished it by fastened the bottom corner with safety pin. Yoongi is now like swaddled like an infant and he likes it. It is comfortable to be so warm and tightly wrapped. Moreover the blanket smells so nice, like his daddy's hand cream. Jimin is stroking Yoongi's hair and Jungkook is holding bottle with milk and medicine for bringing down his fever. Doll like lips of their baby wrapped around the rubber teat and he is sucking hungrily. Daddy and appa are watching how is their baby enjoying his milk and kissed his tiny nose. Yoongi is asleep soon after finishing his bottle and Jungkook stroked Jimin's hair.

"Yoongi is okay, repeat it after me Jimin."

Jimin is silently crying and hiccupped.

"What if we find him dead?"

Jungkook kissed his forehead and hugged him tightly.

"This is not going to happen again. I promise."

Jimin cried for few minutes and then fell asleep too. Jungkook sent message to Namjoon if you can die because of ear infection. He is satisfied with answer but decided that Yoongi will sleep in their bed for next few days. Yoongi slipped into baby space so they need to give him extra care. In the evening they gave him short bath and then dressed him in warmest onesie. After another fight Yoongi got his medicine and they lay down again. Yoongi is resting on wide chest of his appa while Jungkook is hugging him around waist. Their little kitten is feeling good after one week but Jimin has feeling that their baby won't forget about the ear drops torture anytime soon.
