Over the Tip of the Tower

Amelia Keltberry woke up to the sound of birds chirping all around her. She peered out of the window at the huge manor outside. After she had been sorted into Ravenclaw, her parents had exiled her from the house and forced her to live in a tiny but posh shack on the Keltberry property.

She sighed. She knew that her older sisters; Heather and Lena; were preparing their things for yet another fantastic Gryffindor love filled year at Hogwarts. Her favorite sister, Brooke, skipped down the path to Meli's shack.

Knock, knock, knock.

Meli opened the door. "Brooke! Hi."

"Hi Meli." Her sweet voice rang through the air. She was carrying her trunk. Meli took time to notice the features of her sister. Her sisters perfect straight light blonde hair, the light drizzle of freckles, the lanky limbs that hung by her side. All of these traits were prominent to the Keltberry family. Heather and Lena looked this way too. Only being a year apart, they could have been twins.

But Meli was different. Her golden curls bounced over her shoulders and down her back. She had inherited the freckles, but she had an entire face full. Her mother had used to force her to black her hair and wear concealer, but now that Meli- in her mother's words- had shamed the entire family by being sorted into *sigh* Ravenclaw *sigh*, she no longer cared for her youngest daughter. Well, at the time Amelia had been the youngest Keltberry girl, but after she was exiled, her mother had had two other children, Blake (a brother) and Petora.

Petora was now four and all of the traits had been passed to her, but Blake was different too. His golden curls wrapped around his scalp and he too had an astonishing full face of freckles. But he was only three.

"Heather and Lena are leaving soon. I was thinking that you would come to the station with me," Brooke was saying.

"Ok." Meli grabbed her trunk, which she had packed the night before, and followed Brooke out the door. Cheer, her Siamese cat, pounced after me.

After arriving at the station, they boarded and got into a compartment all by themselves .

Meli sighed and looked out of the window. She was so excited for her fourth year at Hogwarts.
