You awoke in the warmth of your bed.
It was currently eleven thirty at night and you had yet to get out of your comfort. You weren't exactly a morning person but somehow you managed to get out of bed everyday for work. You slugged out of the warm comforting and went to the bathroom to do your morning routine. You slipped on a comfty sweatshirt with some leggings, for your uniform was at your workplace. You let your hair down and checked if everything looked decent in the mirror. William then had walked in to the room and smiled toward you, you returned a gentle one his way.
You had been living with William for a year and a month now. You had met him at your current work, Circus Baby's Entertainment and Rental. He was the owner of the establishment and your boss even though you didn't act like it. At the time you were still in college and had gotten a side job which happened to be at Baby's. You moved in with him only because he offered, he said it'd be better and you wouldn't have to pay mortgage like you were at your last apartment. You were very hesitant but took his offer even though you had thought of it as a strange offer. There was nothing between you and him though, nothing but skinny love.
"Ready?" He spoke with a rich british accent. You sighed and groaned while walking slowly out the door with him. "Still tired?" He raised his eyebrow and glanced at you while starting the car. "Oh you bet I am", you lazily smiled while sinking into your seat.
"Well I'll tell you this, you can rest once we get to the office, that is after you help me with a few things first."
"Sounds good to me!"Once you both arrived and entered, William had you help him with a few minor fixes to the animatronics along with polishing.
You wiped your forehead as sweat started to bead around your face. You then took away your rag from the animatronic and stood up to admire your handy work, you were now done for today. It had gotten extremely warm in your work space so you had took the arms of your jumpsuit and tied them around your waist, hoping you'd cool down some. Thankfully you wore a tank. You really didn't understand how William worked in this building all day. You swear if it wasn't for the breaks you took, you'd die of a heat stroke.
As you were cleaning up your materials William popped his head in. "All finished?" You smiled at him and let out a exasperated "yes." He chuckled and told you to come to the office when done. You were definitely excited to lay down and rest but where would you even do that? There were really only chairs and no sofas around the building.
Once you had fixed your hair and slipped on your cofty clothing again, you started for Williams office. You entered to see Will at his desk which held security monitors and a few other miscellaneous items. His back was facing you and you finally decided to speak up once you had looked around the space. "Hey Will." you walked up next to him as he turned to face you. "You can just pull up the other chair." And so you did. You rolled your chair up next to him, spinning around a few times before giggling and stopping to face him. He just glanced at you from his work and shook his head, cracking a smile.
You eventually got bored of watching him work and slugged in your seat, trying to find a more comfortable position. William would occasionally glance at you to see what was up. You had gave up and decided to make a bold decision. You made your chair rise to meet the same height as Wills. You put your hands in your sweatshirt sleeves, as if they were acting as gloves and brought your knees to your chest. You slowly leaned your head over to Williams and layed your head on his shoulder, shutting your eyes. You felt his shoulder stiffin but relaxed almost right after.
You were scared of what his reaction would be, your body had tensed up. You kept on trying to relax, hoping it wasn't noticeable. You finally felt his hand come up to your shoulder and gently pat it. He then started to rub your back in gentle motions. Your body started to relax and a sigh escaped your lips. A small smile had formed on your lips. You heard him shut off his computer, his hand never leaving your back. It was much dimmer in the room now, you could tell even with your eyes shut.
You had began to fall into his touch and you slowly let your head fall off his shoulder into his lap. He then proceded to rub your shoulder and arm. He gripped your shoulder and shook you softly. "We should get going now." He spoke in a hushed tone. You sat up, your eyes open now. A blush was spreading across your cheeks as you made eye contact. You let out a soft "ok" and followed him out the door.
Neither of you had spoken a word on the car ride home. Once you both had got home, you slumped on the couch and layed your head on the arm. After William had taken off his coat and blazer, he sat next to you and had you lay on him while he embraced you in his arms. No words were spoken, just sweet nothing less and the silence.
