"Aya, you're being annoying!" You yelled playfully at your friend.
"That dude totally has a crush on you! He's been trying to get with you for over a year now."
"I've told you so many times, Ayana-"
"I'm still in love with the father of my child." You both said unison.
"But where's that bastard, huh? He hasn't even texted you in three years." She said a bit irritated.
"It's-"
"Complicated? Yeah, I've heard that multiple times." Ayana crossed her arms in front of her chest. "I'm telling you, Y/N, he was only playing you so you would look dumb sitting around waiting for him."
"You don't know him like I do, Ayana. His love for me is," You thought for a moment. "Indescribable."
"Well, if that guy ever shows his face around here, he's getting a nice slap from Ayana." She warned and you laughed.

You were walking peacefully down the sidewalk of the bright city when you heard someone yell your name.
"Y/N!" You saw Isao run towards you. "Hey!"
"Hey." You smiled.
"What are you doing later? Maybe you could come over to my place and I can cook for you."
"Uh, I don't know."
"Just as friends." He grinned.
You hesitated to answer but agreed. "Okay then."
"Great! I'll see you at seven!" He kissed your cheek before leaving.
You continued walking down the sidewalk to where you parked your car. You took out your keys but dropped them when you bumped into someone.
"Oh, I'm sorry." You apologized to the hooded man who leaned down to grab your keys.
He straightened back up and it was him—the guy who you haven't seen for three years. The guy you still love. Your breathing increased and you felt nervous.
