Leaving. I'm 17 and I'm leaving beautiful San Antonio, Texas, Mom drove me to the airport
"You know you don't have to do this." Moms voice was soft and comforting like she's trying to get me to stay.
"No Mom. I want to try Michigan" I say to her. Mom takes a deep breath and sighs deeply. I'm worried about her.
We got to the airport, Mom had tears rolling down her cheeks and gave me a big hug until it was time to go. 1161 miles from San Antonio to Hudsonville, MI. I fell asleep till we landed in Detroit, so that meant that I had to drive all the way to Hudsonville. I tried to practice on my songs, but it was too much to drive, sing, and write down so I just listened to the radio.
I reached Hudsonville. Wow. I felt so excluded. I got to my house that I bought online. I brought all my suitcases inside the place. Beautiful. 3 floors all to myself, mail truck came by and so did my school schedule. I was going to the Hudsonville High School on September 2nd. I was very scared. That's tomorrow.
