SubZero X Chapter Two

SubXero X,  Chapter Two:

A small shadow lurked across the nightclub as every animatronic, and me, were asleep. -Clank- Small metal sounds came from the main area. The shadowy creature manifested into some sort of black rabbit animatronic and soon morphed into  bear, then a dog, and finally back to a rabbit. This particular shadow was a soul, a demon left and trapped here, unable to leave until their curse is broken. -Tink- A loud bang awoke me from my sleep. I had got up from the bed next to Latrea and headed towards the small kitchen. -Clank- “W-who was that..!?” A small glimmer of white light and something small brushed against my leg. I yelped and tripped to the floor. I pulled out my phone flashlight and shined it at whatever was there. It dissipated and re-collected a little to the right and stood completely up on its hind legs. “Well hello there human.” His deep voice echoed in my ears. His eyes cast a gaze only people would think of as nightmare fuel. He grabbed me and lifted me up in the air by my shirt collar. He put me close to his face

I looked into those eyes and saw souls swirling, awaiting to be freed. He dropped me and the floor opened up from under me and I fell into the deep abyss. I woke up in bed with Latrea. It seemed all normal so far. She was still fast asleep and I didn't want to wake her. I slowly got up from the bed and made my way through the hall and into the kitchen. -Fwoosh- A large silhouette charged at me. I threw myself to the right and rolled for cover. Green swirls of light captivated me from the creature’s eyes. “G-get out of me!!” The creature screeched in a low, distorted growl. The eyes softened into green dots and the creature shook his head. He grabbed the table for stability and finally averted his gaze upon me. “What're you doin’ out of bed at this time?” I had finally began to realize those green eyes and voice belonged to the one and only, Dub. I stood back up on my feet and met his gaze. He was like a giant to me. He was eight foot tall, I was six-one. “I-I was getting a drink of water..” He chuckled and picked me up on his back. I sat there gripping on for dear life while he spun me around. “Aye, that’d be enough.” A voice came from across the room. A dark blue light affixed on me. Dub put me down and ruffled my hair. “H-hello..?” I called out. The light came closer and stared me straight in the face. She casted a blue flow from her eyes and it lit up the area. “O-oh.. It's just you..” I was shaken up a bit but regained consciousness. She gave me a smile and waved Dub off so the two if us could talk. She began to speak, her accent was of an Irish pirate’s on a cool spring morning. “He’s just a big O’ meanie, ignore ‘em”. I nodded and walked back to bed and gently lied down to avoid disturbing Latrea’s slumber.

7 Hours Later:

I awoke in bed and Latrea had already gotten up. I sat up and bed and walked out into the hall. It was quiet...too quiet..I walked into the main area to see all the animatronics and people huddled around one area on the floor. I walked up to see what happened. “Guys, is everyth-” I was interrupted by the pirate and she put her finger over my mouth to keep me from saying anything. “Aye, Katashi, keep it shut for now..”  She whispered and pointed in between Dub and Xero. I rushed over to the scene and everyone was quietly whispering over the dead body on the ground. I stepped back in horror as everyone was silently paying respects. I rushed into the private quarters and saw DJ at the table smoking a cigarette with a face of stone. He looked over at me and let out a slight snicker. “Wh-what was that back there..?” He just sighed and walked over to a dark wall in the room and flipped up a switch that turned on the lights. I was shocked and torn at the sight and four letters came to mind: 1987
