Kongpob hated weekdays.

He used to love it when he could see, tease, and be with Arthit every day but when Arthit graduated and started working weekdays seemed to move too slow for his liking, always looking forward for the weekends he get to spend time with his boyfriend.

Kongpob used to get bored right after he wakes up in the morning with no Arthit there to cuddle with. But he has Dae to keep him company even if it’s just for a while.

They found their routine easily. It came as a surprise to Kongpob that Dae was able to adapt to his morning routine this quickly – even his boyfriend took some time to get used to him getting early every morning.

Dae was sort of different. Kongpob couldn’t put a finger to it but the kid seemed to fit perfectly in his space. There was no awkwardness, no hesitating, and no issues of sorts.

    Dae just . . . fit in.

Sometimes Kongpob thought his junior fit in too well.

It was like Dae was keenly aware of Kong’s moves. His junior moved with precision and ease which he shared with Kongpob.

Although Dae was not a perfect roommate; at times he noticed his junior clenching his fists or his jaws when Dae got annoyed or irritated, or how Dae tend to squeeze the middle of the toothpaste tube, and though Dae wakes up early like him, the kid sleeps like a log.

It was like his boyfriend was there with him which was weird.

Kongpob didn’t put much thought into it but having Dae accompany him for a couple of days now, he could spot similar mannerisms Dae had with him or with Arthit.

He put it only as Dae being considerate of his space, or maybe he was just brought up like that.

--

He called his dad during his lunch break one day asking his father if Arthit could pass the shadowing this weekend. Kongpob wanted to spend time with his boyfriend because he wasn’t able to last time.

It’s a good thing his father is very understanding, chuckling at him and making him promise to spend time with the family next week.

Kongpob didn’t tell him about his situation.

--

He invited Dae to eat lunch with him and his friends whenever he spots his junior wandering alone at the cafeteria. Kongpob’s friends took a liking to Dae instantly all the while looking shy and nervous.

Aim kept eyeing him from the side. He hasn’t told his best friend about his situation either.

“Why the sudden interest with that junior all of a sudden?” Aim asked after lunch was over. They were heading to their next class.

“He’s staying with me for a while,” he answered nonchalantly.

    “In your dorm?”

    “Yeah,”

    “Does P’Arthit know?”

He raised a brow at his best friend and deadpanned. “No, I’m looking how long I could keep him without P’Arthit knowing.”

    “Really?”

Kongpob sighed, “Of course P’Arthit knows. He’d maim me if I let someone stay with me without him knowing.”

    “Oh,” Aim breathed. “But why?

“Why are you letting him stay with you? Doesn’t he have friends?”
