OKAY welcome one and all to my first entry on here! For this, I pretty much just stuck to the cannon, though if some of this is later revealed to not be true in the universe, it's still just fanfiction, obviously. So anyways, hope you enjoy it! Also if you don't know who a real magic skeleton and Brandon are, at least look up pictures of them, because i don't describe what they look like much in here, though I'll probably do that in a later chapter.

"Hey Magi. Magi. Dude. Hey," Brandon badgered his skeletal friend as he was trying to do work. Typical.
"Brandon, what is it? I need to finish this," RMS angrily told him as he put the display case on the smooth counter. He was used to Brandon being annoying, they'd been best friends for a while, but when you don't get nearly enough sleep and you're only trying to get through the day, it hits a nerve.
"I know you're tired, but if you want, Drupe says she got the sequel to that REALLY bad movie, and it's gonna be GREAT!" The sequel to Zompire Blood? That sounded... interesting. He would say fun, but the first movie was so convoluted it made his head. So that was promising.
"Tch, that sounds like SUCH a great movie, Brandon!" Magi laughed sarcastically. Brandon pretended to be hurt by his statement and dramatically put his hand against his chest like he was wounded, before giving out and laughing back.
"But seriously, if you wanna go, I can drive." Magi gave Brandon a thumbs up. "Sweet!" Brandon smiled. He was still glad they weren't arguing anymore.
Not too long ago, Brandon and RMS had gotten into a fight after Magi had wanted to get a new job at a coffee shop. Sure, he thought it was completely ridiculous that Brandon wouldn't want him to be able to move up in his life, but he did somewhat understand that he just didn't want to loose his best friend. He had gotten scared. Magi understood that, he always worried about Brandon, and maybe liked him a little too much in his own opinion. It was a lot like that recently, and he just needed to stop thinking about it. The day was always longer when he started to worry about it, he just had to change what he was thinking about. Though, that always proved to be difficult, he did work with Brandon after all.

After what felt like forever, it was finally time for the two to leave, and they soon headed out for Drupe's house, singing (quite badly) to their favorite songs with the windows rolled down, probably disturbing everyone. After how long the day had seemed to be, almost nobody coming into the frame store, Magi felt a lot better just being able to be stupid with him, things like this was why the two were good friends. Through the car ride, RMS completely forgot about anything else that would have bothered him, and he could just hang out with his favorite person for a while.
When they rolled up to Drupe's house and went in, the three just talked for a bit and chatted about what they thought the movie would be like.
"Okay, but I can't be the only one who thinks that this entire series is irredeemable. Nobody could fix this without making it completely separate from the first movie," Drupe laughed to the two. Brandon, like always, pretended to look shocked and offended by this and dramatically gasped.
"How DARE you? These movies belong in a museum, Drupe," he said, his voice cracking halfway through the nonsensical sentence. Magi snorted, and Brandon looked back at him, trying to keep his expression serious. "DON'T SILENCE THE TRUTH!" he hysterically shouted, throwing his arms up towards the ceiling.
"Brandon, shut up, you're gonna disturb the whole neighborhood," Drupe told him, still laughing. "Oh hey, before we watch the movie, we should get some popcorn. I nominate Brandon to do this since he probably woke up my neighbors," she said looking jokingly angry at him.
"Well, since I am clearly too lazy, I push on my nomination to the next best candidate," he said, Magi giving Drupe an annoyed and confused look before sighing and getting off the red couch.
"I guess I'll go do that then," RMS sighed and angrily walked off into the kitchen. They'd been to Drupe's house a couple of times, so he knew where pretty much everything was, though that didn't stop him from struggling to reach the top shelf. He finally took out a popcorn bag, then walked over to the old microwave. He put the bag in and started the timer, a loud thump coming from closing it back again. Magi walked over next to the fridge and leaned against the wall, closest to the entrance of the kitchen. Drupe and Brandon were talking to each other in the living room. RMS, standing close enough to the room to hear their conversation, unintentionally ended up following it, even though he didn't particularly mean to. The walls weren't exactly sound-proof.
"Yeah, yeah. I just highly doubt that would end well. I mean, there's a chance he could, but in literally any other circumstance it would ruin everything." Magi had absolutely no idea what they were talking about. Still thinking about the movie, he assumed they were talking about the character being stupid. That was funny, in those types of movies, the main characters were always the most dumb.
"Well, I'm just saying. He sure seems like he would. I mean, come on Brandon, have you SEEN how worried he gets about you?" Oh. What was going on?
"Look, I can't just go up to him and be like 'Oh hey Magi guess what, I loooove you!', that won't work."
"I never said that!"
BEEEP. The microwave loudly signaled the finished popcorn. Magi's head was reeling. If that made any sense. Like, how did that even work anyway? It wasn't time to go over magic skeleton logistics, though. Wow. What was he even supposed to do with this knowledge? Oh god what would someone normal do in this situation? If he told Brandon he knew he'd probably be mad at him, he wasn't supposed to hear that conversation, he really didn't want to get into another argument. Magi couldn't have him mad at him again, not for some dumb reason like this, it didn't matter what he thought about Brandon, he couldn't just lose his trust like that. Ok, he thought to himself, calm down. I'll just solve this later. He took the popcorn out of the microwave and tried to gain his composure, though he wasn't sure how well that worked out for himself. He never was the best at anything like that.
He tried to walk normally (though ended up stumbling a bit) back to the living room and sat somewhat uncomfortably where he was before.
"Aw sweet. Thanks dude!" Brandon smiled, and Magi smiled back at him, not sure if he was blushing or not. RMS didn't see it, but Drupe gave Brandon a "I told you so" expression, and he just shot her back a dirty look.
Since Brandon was sitting in the middle, Magi gave him the popcorn, and he gladly ate it all within the first 30 minutes. Some things never change.
The movie was a special kind of bad where you can't help but enjoy it. The story was that a huge hurricane came through and somehow made some toxic waste spread, which made the dead rise from their graves. But then, the vampires (who are there for whatever reason) are really happy and willing to turn into zombies themselves, and a lowly farmer and his girlfriend Jean have to fight them off with their badass friend Carl. The main character's name is literally just Farmer. I'm not even kidding.
The entire time, Brandon, Magi, and Drupe joked about how Farmer should be with Carl because "Jean's a bitch" as well as the fact that literally any scene they have alone together felt strangely romantic.
Somehow, the sequel had nothing at all to do with the first other than the zompires. Farmer, Carl, and Jean never were mentioned in anything the creators had done until then. That combined with the fact it was written like a bad fanfiction was enough to make it one of the worst movies that Magi had ever seen, though, it was just tolerable enough to be hilarious. With it's stale dialogue and "action" scenes that had nothing going for them, it made quite the memorable experience.
Magi didn't know what to do about the Brandon thing. Sure he absolutely loved him, no matter how much he tried to deny it before, but he was just so socially awkward. He had no clue how to even formulate that sentence. He ultimately ended up deciding that he would try to forget about it today, and worry about it tomorrow, though he knew he'd keep putting it off anyway. He guessed it was future Magi's problem, even if he'd end up hating himself for it later.
The three ate pizza rolls and talked about Drupe's new job after they watched the movie. RMS and Brandon ended up staying there until around 9:00, just joking around and talking. At one point, though, they all agreed it was getting late, and they went back out to the car to leave.
Since Magi lived close enough to the plaza to walk there, he usually never drove and just let a completely happy and willing Brandon drive him anywhere he wanted. He honestly seemed like the kind of guy who would follow Magi almost anywhere, he never had any complaints. RMS was very okay with that, he was always a bit nervous about driving anyway.
Drupe however, (along with Brandon who lived a bit closer than her) lived somewhat far from Lakewood Plaza, so the two ended up driving all the way back to Magi's house to drop him off. The drive back was not like the drive there. The two sat in somewhat uncomfortable silence, seemingly thinking about the same thing. At least, that's what Magi thought. He really wasn't sure, now that he thought about it. Some dumb pop song was playing quietly in the background as the dark surroundings blurred past them outside the window. Brandon glanced over to him.
"Hey, I just wanted to say that I'm sorry again for the whole new job thing. But you understand, right dude?" He quietly asked as he stared back ahead at the road. At this point, Magi had been awake for way too long considering his incredible lack of sleep the night before. This is the reason why instead of handling it calmly, he got angry and defensive.
"Yeah, but I'd still like to get support from my best friend," RMS retorted. It's truly amazing what being tired can do to your level of caring what you say, as Magi would soon learn.
"Well I'm sorry that I was afraid I was gonna loose my favorite person."
"We literally would still work at the same place!"
"I panicked, okay!" This argument seemed to be going absolutely nowhere, but RMS decided to comment back anyway, for whatever reason.
"Well panic about something with more value," he begrudgingly and tiredly returned.
"Like you have any idea how much value you have to me!" Brandon said somewhat pathetically. Magi didn't quite mean to say this next part, he actually ended up saying it by thinking about how bad it would be if he did. And from this minor dwelling over what not to say, RMS ended up saying the exact words he recited in his head.
"Actually, I have somewhat of an idea after hearing you talk to Drupe about how much you 'loooove' me!" and he immediately gasped after he said it, not actually expecting for those to be the words he would say. Then he panicked.
"OH MY GOD I DIDN'T MEAN TO SAY THAT. Brandon, I'm so sorry, I was trying SO HARD NOT TO SAY EXACTLY THAT," Magi facepalmed as he tried to clear it up, though just screaming didn't seem to be such a great idea, as it looked like Brandon was having an internal panic attack in the driver's seat.
"Wow. Oh. Okay. Uh I'm sorry. That you, uh, had to hear that. I'm just gonna. Uh... well I can't leave," he awkwardly laughed, "Sorry," were the only words that managed to come out of him. Magi, needing to make things right as fast as possible, immediately started blurting out whatever he could.
"NONONO, notlikethatIactuallyreallylikeyoutoobutican'tevenmakethesentence-" RMS was suddenly cut off by Brandon slightly snorting. His eyes (if he could even call them that) darted over to see his friend holding in laughs and/or tears. It was really not hard to make Brandon feel literally any emotion at the drop of the hat. The two both suddenly broke out in hysterical laughter about whatever that whole thing was, and at one point, Magi wasn't even sure why they were still laughing. The two were eventually in tears, laughing despite the fact there was nothing funny left about it. Magi didn't even know if they could laugh for much longer without seriously injuring someone's vocal cords. When it finally died down after a long time, Brandon let out a sigh of relief.
"So basically this means I can change my status to taken?" he jokingly said, taking on his normal attitude again.
"Oh my god, stop it dude!" Magi laughed and lightly pushed him, causing Brandon to snort again. "But sure, do that, just make sure to say it's me."
"Well clearly you deserve credit."
The rest of the drive just ended up being the two joking back and forth, Brandon grabbing RMS's hand at some point and forgetting to let go. The two eventually got to Magi's house and walked to his doorstep together. Still holding his hand, RMS turned to look at Brandon.
"Guess I'll see you tomorrow, then." He somewhat awkwardly said.
"Yeah," Brandon quietly said back. "Love you, dude. Oh, that's nice to say! I loooooove you, Magi! HA! THROWBACK TO A COUPLE HOURS AGO!" RMS laughed at him.
"I uh... I love ya too." he said back. To him, it really felt like life had just passed super fast, but super slow at the same time. It was really strange to him that so much could happen in a day, and the two of them were certainly on much different terms than they were that morning.
Of course, before he left, the fluffy dork couldn't go without "truly" saying goodbye. Brandon briefly, but sweetly (and a bit out of nowhere, if you asked Magi) kissed him, then headed back to his car, chiming lots of "goodbye"s and "love ya"s before he actually got into his car and slowly left, still waving at him through the window. Magi sighed and laughed. What was he gonna do with him?

AND THERE WE GO I finally uploaded the thing I've worked on very slowly since literally probably August. New things will go much faster, because at first I wasn't even planning on putting this up, but I'm pretty sure that I'm gonna do this as often as i can, I have waaaay too many ideas for these guys.
