Luna was away on a mission when word got to her of Lysander’s death. She whirled around on the one who was relaying the message. “What do you mean he’s dead!?” She screamed not giving a damn that everyone could hear her. The male in the assassin’s robe put a finger to his lips as he started walking away to a less crowded area for them to talk. Luna followed; her chest turning cold, her heart slowly stopping as flashes of her beloved came to her mind’s eye. “He died saving the elders Miss Luna. Surely you can resp-,” his words were cut short as she suddenly pinned the male to the wall with her throwing knives. Her blue eyes were brighter from her sorrow and rage. Luna knew Lysander well enough that he would not do a damn thing for the elders that betrayed them both. Her eyes glanced about her as fifteen more assassins showed themselves. She straightened from her throwing stance as her hood fell from her head. “Tell me the truth. How did he really die?” Was all she could say as she could feel the other assassins tense from the growing deadly air that was coming off her in waves as her eyes snapped opened and yelled, “Tell me how he really died you son of a bitch!” The others jumped from Luna’s once lovely voice suddenly turn much darker and demonic. No one truly knew what she really was, but they were soon going to find out as time went on. Her eyes never left the one pinned to the wall and he easily unpinned himself with just a simple shrug. He wasn’t human, and she knew it. Lysander wasn’t human either, but she didn’t care, she liked that about him. But this one, this one was the one that betrayed her; betrayed his so called best friend and brother who is now dead.

“Luna… Please…” He said, his massive frame walked toward her, his voice pleading but the others wouldn’t have known the difference since they were human. “He did die for the elders.” She snarled with hatred, as her eyes burned a brighter blue which she knew was happening but at this point didn’t care. The male sighed and nodded his head to the others, they hesitated but soon left them alone, she could feel them leave the area to do whatever they saw fit. “You being alone with me, not a wise move Zalazara.” Luna said coldly as her hidden blades came out of her wristbands as she went into a crouch. “Luna I’m not here to fight with you. Do you want to know what happened to him or not.” Zalazara said annoyed as she could feel his own heart heavy. She didn’t know if it was from the betrayal or the fact that he missed his friend. “He isn’t really dead Luna. You just can’t see him, ever.” Luna stopped her circling she didn’t know she began doing. He turned to her as his hands slowly started to glow a bright white. “He is up in the Heavens, where he belongs. Not with a demon like yourself. Demons should be killed, that is our way. He is an Angel, Luna. Not a human.” Luna started laughing and leaned up against the wall behind her. “Do you really think I didn’t know what he was? What you are, Zalazara? You’re as stupid as I thought.” She said as she looked him down. Both of them had each in a stare down, neither one going to look away first. Their hearts beating faster as the tension grew. “Zalazara! What are you doing! Kill her! She’s a demon you idiot!” Both Zalazara and Luna looked up to the male voice. Luna’s heart froze as she knew the voice well. She then looked to Zalazara before she turned and ran out the way she came, the other male chased her and cursed words to the other for not doing his job.

Luna glanced over her shoulder as Zalazara did not follow; she read his lips as tears came to her eyes. ‘His grave is in the meadow where you both met.’ Her attention came back to the other male as he came up fast causing her to duck from the hidden blade that about slit her throat. Luna made a roundhouse kick which sent the male flying; she stopped as he landed into a small group of people standing at the corner of the street. He stood up quickly and stared her down, by now tears were flowing from her eyes as she slowly raised her hood back onto her head. She remembered this church, remembered when they both disappeared together for the first time from the chase of guards. Both of them having hidden smiles on their lips as the priests came filing out of the building. She watched the male’s eyes widen as the church bells started to ring, the doors opening slowly, then and only then did he grab his head and fall to his knees as she faded into the crowd cloaked in white. Luna did not move as she watched him hold onto his head as if in pain. No, she knew he was in pain; she walked toward him instead of away from him as she knew she should do. Luna knew other angels were nearby, she could smell their panic as she neared the other male. She knelt and lifted the hood from his head as he looked up at her, her heart skipped a beat as she was looking into the face of her lover. Luna knew he didn’t even know who she was now, who she was to him; what they had built together. She watched as his eyes narrowed into an icy glare, Luna felt the hidden blades go into her ribcage on both sides; she just didn’t care. She coughed up blood and didn’t bother turning away so it wouldn’t cover his face. “Lysander…” Luna said in a weak voice as she leaned closer to him. His confusion was written all over his face as she kissed him deeply. She felt him freeze, a tear rolled down her cheek as she got up and turned away from him. Blood was starting to soak her assassin robes as she continued to walk away. Usually she could heal herself, but these blades were that of an angel’s, she could shatter their armor, could even break their weapons; but when she got a cut they would leave scars. This time though, it would kill her. Luna slowly made her way to the meadow that Zalazara had told her where her lover’s human body was buried. But what Zalazara did not realize was more than just a body was there. Memories, the soul of the one she loved were buried there as well. The man she let kill her was, in a way, the man she loved but changed to fit his Lord.
