I open the taxi door, inhaling the scent of the city, as I swing my favorite pastel yellow backpack over my shoulder. I go to the trunk of the car and open it. I drag out my big suitcase and a smaller suitcase. Today I was moving into the dorms at Lammondston University. I don't know who my roommate is going to be yet but all I know is that every student gets an apartment room that fits two. If my sources are correct I have a 70% chance of rooming with another girl and a 30% chance of rooming with a guy. I'm really hoping I'm rooming with a girl. I don't think I can take room with a guy. What if he's a huge pervert? What if he never wants to talk to me? All these questions were floating in my mind when the driver taps my shoulder waiting for his money.
"Oh! I'm so sorry sir." I hand him $10.
"It's no problem miss."
Then he gets inside and drives away.
Well there is no turning back now.. I thought.

I put my bags down as I fumble with the key to open the door. When I finally get the door open I picked my stuff up and went inside. It was nicer inside than I thought it was going to be. I see that none of the rooms have been claimed, meaning my roommate has not arrived yet. I pick the room on the left and went inside. The walls were a pale beige with wood flooring. I lay my suitcases out and prepare to unpack everything.

"Ah finally, done." I say as I sit down literally 2 hours later. I put the suitcases under my bed and I go put my bathroom supplies into the bathroom. I get out of the bathroom and plop down on my bed. I was about to fall asleep when I heard the door handle rattle. I jumped up and grabbed a hammer and went to my bedroom door. It totally left my mind that the person coming in could be my potential roommate. I opened the door a crack and looked and saw a strange man looking around with a large duffel bag in his hands.
"AGHHHHH" I run towards the guy while yelling with the hammer over my head. I was about to hit him when a hand grabs my wrists keeping the hammer from hitting him.
"WOAH STOP! I DON'T KNOW WHO YOU ARE, BUT I LIVE HERE!" The strange man yells.
"NO I LIVE HERE! I'M ATTENDING LAMMONDSTON UNIVERSITY!"
"You must be my roommate then."
"Wait what."
