3rd POV
It was a busy morning in downtown New York,though the sun had just risen,but if anyone were to pay more attention they would see an owl,with what looked like parchment tied with a red ribbon attached to it's leg.

Now this owl in particular seemed to know exactly where it was going,and only stopped when it flew into an alley,by an old, rundown apartment building;and flew to a window next to the fire escape,where you could see an eleven girl with mid-back bedraggled ebony hair and silvery sea-blue eyes,hastily getting dressed in clearly worn clothes;the owl landed on the window sill and pecked the glass,quickly catching the girls attention she turned around and spotted the owl,then seeing the letter,her mesmerizing eyes widened with joy and a small smile made its way onto her face;she opened the window.

After letting the owl into her room it landed onto a little desk next to the bed,the girl calmly, albeit excitedly,over to the owl,and took the letter;the girl opened the letter;it read

HOGWARTS SCHOOL OF
WITCHCRAFT AND WIZARDRY

Headmaster:Albus Dumbledore
(Order of Merlin,First Class,Grand Sorc.,Chf.Warlock,Supreme,Mugwump,International Confed.of Wizards)

Dear Ms Jackson-Black,

We are pleased to inform you that you have a place at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.Please find enclosed a list of necessary books and equipment.

Term begins on 1 September.We await your owl but no later than 31 July.

And true to the letters word the supply list was in the envelope as well; it read

First year students will require:
.Uniform
.Three Sets of Plain Work Robes (Black)
.One Plain Pointed Hat(Black) for day wear
.One pair of protective gloves (Dragon hide or something similar)
. One winter cloak(Black, Silver fastenings)

.please note that all student's clothes should carry name-tags at all times

The girl after reading the letter ran to her mother's room.
