Y/N
The very next morning went more smooth because I guess things cleared the air. And I also happened to finish my homework with the help of Mark. So everything was going as I hoped it would, I just hope this walk to school isn't like being chased by a bull. I already knew that my mom had left for work early since she was sleep when I came home at 10 last night. When she goes to sleep early she obviously has to work really early the next. We barely have time to see each other but when we do, I cherish it.
Without eating breakfast l already headed out the door making sure it was locked, and headed to school. I was more eager to get there because I finally have a friend I can really rely on this time. Speaking of him he's probably already at the school now, I wish I can take the bus but I can't because I'm not that far from it. I shoved the earphone that already had music playing into my ear and continued to walk, noticing the others that walk the same route as me. In the midst of walking a black car appears right besides me causing me to jump out of my body only to find out that it was Mark. "Did I scare you? Do you want a ride?" He asked more gentle than yesterday when he basically forced me to get in. "Oh now you want be Mr.Nice guy today huh?" I joked but still walked to the car. Who would pass up a car ride, especially when you're nearly about to get chased by a dog again sooner or later. "I'm always nice what do you mean?" He started to drive off once I put my seat belt on. "Yesterday you literally just said "get in" and didn't even ask me if I wanted to go with you." I folded my arms knowing he would disagree with me. I watched his arm depart from the steering wheel and traveled towards my arm, pulling them away from each other while still managing to drive comfortably. I was not expecting that. "There's no need for you to fold your arms, if you hadn't gotten in you and made me your friend, would have been chased by a dog probably for the rest of the year." He chuckled keeping a hold onto my arm to make sure it won't go right back to where it was. If he didn't I was for sure going to fold my arms once again. "Wait, how did you know I've been getting chased by dogs?" I asked confused as to why he knows this. I mean I look like I've been running when I come to school but how does he know that I've been chased by a dog? I could have been chased by a cat or even a rat. "Once I've drove past you when you were getting chased, it was really funny." He grinned widely earning a death glare from me. "Don't even try and glare at me like that, you don't intimidate me. Rather you look cute doing that." He teased. My eyes squinted as I knew it was a lie. To others I look like the demons child, how do I look cute to him? It's a first being called cute and I blushed at the thought of his voice constantly being replayed. "Looks like someone's not used to being called cute." He continued to tease and this right here had to stop. It didn't feel uncomfortable when he said it compared to when others told me that, I felt shy and nervous when it came out of his mouth. "I am used to it, I just get red when I uh," I tried to think of a comeback but he had already beat me. "When you get called cute by someone that is your friend?" He asked knowing exactly what I was thinking of what not to say."Why did I happen to meet someone who just knows what goes on through my head. I can't never think to myself." I whined pouting my lips. "You need someone like me, so you should thank me for being your friend." He smirked while pulling into the school. I totally forgot that I was even in the car with him, and sunk into the soft seat. "I don't want to go in there." I sunk deeper into the seat making Mark chuckle. "Come on before we won't be able to have a seat sitting next to each other." He unfastened his seat belt reaching to undo mine too. "Who said I wanted to sit next to you?" I asked wit sarcasm tagging along. "I did, now come on." He opens the door for me and held his hand out. He's really a gentleman and way better than the guys that I've met at this school. I took his hand in mine and he yanks me out of the car. Well so much for calling him a gentleman. I huffed glaring at the giggling boy besides me. "Just when I was complimenting you in my head you do this." I mumbled leaving him and walking towards the campus. "Wait up y/n, I have to tell you something." He shouted from behind me. I didn't know whether to play his own game on him and continue to walk or to wait. Before I could even decide he had already caught up to me. "Did your mom get mad that you came home late?" He asked showing that he cared about my curfew which happens to end at 9:30. "No she was sleep by the time I came home, she didn't mind anyways I go on walks all the time so it's nothing new to her." I explained and happened to walk closer to mark as we entered the school. "Instead of walking why don't I pick you up and we can just talk in the parking lot and listen to music?" He offered. I won't lie the parked car conversation was really soothing. "That would be great, but I'd have to pay you for gas." I suddenly remembered and reached into my pocket only to have my hand snatched by his and he held it squeezing it a bit tight. "You don't have to pay for gas, I'm doing this on my own will. We can get to know each other better by doing this. I don't mind wasting gas just to sit in a parking lot with you." He smiles releasing his grip from my hand and ruffling my hair. Just by him doing that everyone's eyes were on us. Mark gazed at my worried expression and heights my shoulders. "Don't worry about them staring, they just find it odd that two quiet people hang out together, or either they like me or you and don't like the sight of us." He reassured making my shoulders loosen up. I mean I know girls could like him but not that many boys would like me. I just hope one of his crazy fans won't try and do nothing to me. I'd just tell him about it anyways.
