"Choi Hana I promise you that I will be the best fake boyfriend you'll ever have" Jimins smooth voice distracts me from his words.
I swear it's the alcohol. Logical and sober Hana would have never agreed to this.
"Thanks for the reassurance but I don't intend to have too many fake relationships in the course of my life." I try to smile but I'm so exhausted and confused by the events of tonight that I'm hardly even listening to him.
"Either way I promise it won't be weird. And if it ever does get uncomfortable for you or if there are any boundaries you want me to maintain just tell me and we can rectify the situation." He speaks formally, as if we've just arranged a business deal.
"Thanks for the ride Jimin." I look over to see him giving me a reassuring smile.
Stepping out of Jimin's sexy (arguably more sexy than the man himself) car, I realise what I've just committed to. Fake dating someone? Of all people a senior who I'm attracted to? I'm terrible at real relationships as it is and now I'm supposed to pretend to be in one? And all to prove a point to someone I barely know. Park Jimin has a power over me that I only wish I could understand.
Lost in my thoughts, I nearly scream when a certain coconut haired boy clears his throat.
"I thought you would have been back before I reached. I brought cookies." He gives me a half smile as my heart sinks a little.
Any interest I have in Kookie would have to be set aside now. People have to believe that I'm dating Jimin.
"We had some things to talk about so we went on a little drive before heading back." I smile at Jungkook as he taps his access card to our dorm building.
"I want to ask what you talked about but if it's private then it's alright." He hands me the bag of still warm Famous Amos while trying to seem nonchalant.
I could tell he wanted to know. And given that he was my friend and someone I've come to trust he deserves to know before Jimin announces it to the world. And by the world I guess I just mean the club.
"Its a bit complicated. I'll explain over cookies and ice cream." I announce as I throw open the door to my dorm room.
It's a bit of a mess but at this point I don't have the energy to neaten up.
Dumping my bag next to the door, I kick off my sneakers and head over to the mini fridge under my desk. By the time I've taken the cookie dough ice cream out Jungkook is already sitting on my bed with two spoons in hand.
"So tell me what happened. You know I love gossip." His eyes are alight and all it does is wrench at my heart a little more.
"You're gonna be mad." I pout as I stab my spoon into the ice cream.
"Hana..." Jungkook whines as he imitates my pouting.
"Let me enjoy my ice cream first." I smile and Jungkook concedes.
"Fine then I won't tell you who Taehyung is dating until you tell me what happened with Jimin." He smirks knowing damn well that I wouldn't be able to resist that.
"Not like I wanted to know anyways" I give him the sweetest, fakest smile I possibly can.
Within a split second, I feel something hit my forehead, causing me to shout, "WHAT THE FUCK JUNGKOOK?"
There was a cookie lying on the floor, wasted and there was a Kookie lying on my bed, laughing like a maniac.
Before he could react I rolled him over, resulting in the poor boy falling to the floor as well.
"The one thing I will never condone is wasting perfectly good food. Are we clear" I point my spoon at himself an attempt to lecture him.
"You're room is so small. How do two people live in here?" Jungkook pops the poor cookie on the ground into his mouth while I look at him in disgust.
"Hey dumbass there's only one bed. Nobody else lives in here." I really wonder how he seems so brilliant while also being absolutely stupid at the same time.
Jungkook seems to suddenly realise something that I thought he'd figured out weeks ago.
"Kookie honey, we hang around here until like 3 in the morning. Have you ever seen anyone else come in?" I can't help but laugh at the adorable expression on his face.
"I could have sworn you were complaining about your roommate like last week?" His mouth was open in a little O shape in confusion.
"Kook, that was you." I groan and lie back on my bed.
"Well I'm sorry that boy is an annoying asshole. He doesn't even let me have friends over because he likes his personal space." Jungkook gets up, off the floor, and heads to the pathetic excuse for a kitchen to get more food.
I was glad that he'd distracted himself from my conversation with Jimin. The longer I look at his smile the less I want
to tell him."You know what I'm pretty sure my room is like way nicer than yours" he mumbles while raiding my snack cupboard.
"Thanks for rubbing it in Kookie" I reply monotonously as I scroll through my Instagram feed.
"No Hana I have an idea." A bright eyed Jungkook turns to me while pouring water into a Samyang noodle bowl.
"Your room is pathetic and cramped. You don't even have a wardrobe it's ridiculous. Han Jin likes being alone. You and me would have sooo much fun as roommates..." He gives me his cute puppy dog eyes.
"I really don't know where you're going with this." I put my phone down next to my bed and sit up to look at him.
"We're always hanging out in your room. But then I have to go back to my very spacious and comfortable dorm and get scolded by my annoying room mate." Jungkook returns to his seat on the bed next to me with excitement gleaming in his dark eyes.
"Kookie we cant just switch rooms" I laugh off his ridiculous suggestion.
"Yes we can! Namjoon and Jin Hyung did it. Hell even Jimin and Mina did." He continues to pout and look at me like... well in a way that would having on the ground if I hadn't been sitting.
"Please Hana? I moved into the dorms because I thought that I was gonna be best friends with my room mate and that we'd make memories together. And you can't actually be enjoying living in this shoe box all alone right?" He wasn't wrong but I doubt he'd want to live with Jimin's "girlfriend"
"Kookie I'm going to tell you something. Don't get mad when I tell you. I just want you to reconsider what you're proposing after you hear this." I mutter, closing my eyes as if to brace myself to be screamed at.
"What did you do? Murder someone?" He laughs before stuffing his mouth with noodles.
"Worse. I'm dating Park Jimin."
