fifties living in.Which explained why my mom bought it. She always loved the idea of being the ideal family with the white picket fence and the the one family everyone envied. The dream ended though when my dad got a promotion and they moved  to chicago a month after they got married. it probably wasn't gonna happen now either considering one crucial family member was missing and i wasn't exactly a prodigy

The house had a huge wooden coffee brown porch with two rocking chairs, pale blue walls, and a huge oak tree flat in the middle of the yard. In other words my worst nightmare.

"Well ready to chech out the inside" my mom said clearly excited.

"Well i'm as ready as a cow heading into a slaughter house" i said in a flat tone.

"Excuse me, look Royal all i'm gonna say is new house new attitude got it."

"Well whatever do you mean i've been a peffect angel."

My mother just siged and unlocked the door to the house. The inside wasn't much better than the outside. Wooden floors and fifty year old beige carpet..

"How many rooms" i stated as i examined what i assumed was the kitchen.

"Two which is just enough for the both of us, a living room, a kitchen, and basement" she stated proudly.

                                "Cozy"

"It will be better for us in the long run in our old place there was too much history."

"I guess, i'm gonna go check out my room"

"Well i'm gonna start on taking everything down."

Honestly there wasn't much to see. Dreary chipping yellow wall and a fan that barely worked. The only plus side was the window. It had an amazing view of the forest that was about two-hundred yards away. It took my breath away i had never seen so so much nature in one place. The stars too. There weren't many, but i could see them without the planetarium.

"Royal we're gonna stay at a hotel for the night come downstairs" shouted my mother.

"Coming" i shouted back. i couldn't take my eyes of the window. i didn't worry though because tomorrow i would be back. Some how that window made this place a little more bareable.
